“Wait a minute. Are you jealous?”

send me a pairing and a number and i’ll write you a drabble

     Jolting a little at the question, Querl turned to face Superman.Him? Jealous? Well, maybe a little. Not that he’d admit it.He looked up into Superman, no- Clark’s eyes. They were full of suspicion, and on some level- knowing. The young Coluan had a tendency to be short in response and mood, and a bit cold, when he felt jealous or wronged. That, he could not deny.

     Quirking a brow quizzically and narrowing his gaze, Clark waited for Querl to respond. At this point he was more in it to see how Querl would respond than the response, itself.The way he’d reacted to the question and froze like a deer in the headlights at possibly being caught red-handed wasn’t entirely what Clark was expecting of his comrade.

     It was almost endearing to see Querl get so flustered; the flush lightly tinting his face a darker shade of green while his eyes still seemed to be widened in shock. He clearly hadn’t expected to be called out on this. He either hadn’t realized he was being jealous or didn’t realize he was being obvious about it. Querl’s gaze shifted off to the side quickly when he couldn’t handle meeting Clark’s eyes any longer.He was embarrassed at himself, and couldn’t allow himself to get lost on those deep blue eyes.

      The girl that incited today’s jealousy mood swing was simply a fan and only wanted to say hello to her hero, yet Querl couldn’t help it that his wires crossed every time someone besides him got any sort of special attention from the Kryptonian. He was a bit rude to her and, and at first it just came off as him having a bad day, as he has many of those. But the jealous comments he made under his breath once the girl was out of earshot didn’t go without Clark’s noticing.

     The air was heavy with awkward silence and the only thing that broke the silence was the sound of Querl’s awkward shifting as he shifted his weight and folded his arms across his chest, still trying to avoid eye contact; flushing more and turning away further when Clark would try to lean over to see his face.

      “I’m not jealous.” He answered, simply. The young Coluan even surprised himself with how even he managed to keep his tone. “We just have a strict schedule to adhere to and we can’t afford t-”

      Querl froze up again and he’d lost his words as he felt a warm hand gently grip his shoulder. When he twisted around to see what Clark was up to, he realized the 21st century superhero had lessened the gap between them and was leaning in towards him. In that moment he could have sworn he ceased all functions except the electric reactions lighting up his face and ears and leaving the rest of him feeling cold ad devoid of all the heat that had decided to travel upwards for the sake of the flush on his cheeks. Clark placed a gentle kiss on his forehead and Querl could feel electricity pulsating intensely through his wiring like a heavy pulse brought on by a racing heart. He tried to breath but his breath hitched, and he regretted it slightly. Clark always smelled so nice and he was so close, now. His synthetic skin seemed to burn pleasantly where Clark’s lips were pressed warmly to his forehead and hand rested gently on his shoulder. It wasn’t a particularly romantic gesture, but Querl almost swooned, nonetheless. Thank goodness he didn’t, because it usually took him a while to boot back up.

     Clark pulled away and smiled down at a now stunned-silent and breathless Querl. Clark could feel the heat coming off his little Coluan from all the flush, and found himself briefly wondering where people ever got the idea that robots were cold. His hand migrated from Querl’s shoulder to cup his cheek and stroke it, tenderly, with his thumb. Now Querl couldn’t take his gaze off Clark and he found himself getting lost in the Kryptonian’s eyes, like he’d been trying not to do.

     "Relax, there’s nothing to be jealous of.“ Clark assured as he watched Querl’s stiff posture relax and melt (shoulders relaxing and arms sliding down to his sides) a little as his expression went from one of a love-struck fool to that of, well, an embarrassed fool. He nodded and smiled weakly as he managed to shift his gaze away again before Clark spoke. “Now what do you say we finish what we came here to do?”

💋 — kissing 

Ah, no. He’s never actually kissed anyone, yet. Aven if he had, he’s NOT* particularly GOOD at it. He’s too timid when it comes to displaying affection, he wouldn’t do too much more than chaste little kisses and pecks on the cheek. Not what you’d call a kissing connoisseur.

🍳 — cooking

He doesn’t do it so often, but he’s not bad at it! Actually, he doesn’t really eat, either. Even in other continuities where he’s 100% organic, he doesn’t eat or cook much, if at all. But he picks it up quickly and nobody complains when he cooks.

➗ — mathematics

You know the answer to this one. He is, as they say, a “beast” at math. He does math at a higher level than most college students that excel in math can comprehend. My fingers are crossed I won’t have to pretend I know math while RPing him, though. May that thread never come my way.

⚽️  — sports

Sports would be a no! He’s literally that kid that just sits on the bleachers during a game at school and spends the entire game with his nose buried in a book and mildly irritated that class had to be interrupted for such a “pointless activity.” But honestly if he gave it a try, he’d be....better as a coach than one of the team. He’d spend too much time arguing with the coach’s orders to actually play becs he’ll think he knows a better strategy. He’s actually a very effective tactician.

📚 — reading

He actually excels in reading, but mostly in Interlock and Colu’s native language. But he’s p quick at translating everything else.

But when provided something from the 21st century, it’ll take him a little longer to decipher it since a lot of information on the past was lost. Also why the Superman Museum is rather vague on Superman’s history.

🎵 — singing

Querl is not particularly a very talented singer. Actually, I can’t recall that he’s ever actually tried to sing before? There was one time, in this version’s specific continuity, when he was abt 12-13 in his first “solar cycle” away and separated from the Coluan Hivemind and  he started to lose functionality as his “brain” was effectively deteriorating and he hummed a few times before Timberwolf and Superman rushed him to Timberwolf’s homeworld for a cure so they didn’t lose him forever.

😇 — following rules 

It depends on whose rules. Legion rules and code? He follows those very strictly. Earthgov and United Planets Laws? He does his best adhere to those within reason, especially since the Legion are a government endorsed/supported group of heroes.

But under specific circumstances, he won’t hesitate to bend rules or do things his own way, regardless of legality, if it is for the greater good and he feels he knows a better way to solve a problem than the government will allow.

🌍 — knowledge of the world

Querl’s knowledge of the world is actually rather vast. Or at least knowledge of the worlds he has been to and has read history files on. Suffice it to say the worlds he knows  most about are his home world, Colu, Earth, and his friends’ home worlds.

He also has Brainiac’s knowledge at his disposal now that he’s overrode the lock on his database and accessed all of his “great great great great grandfather’s” knowledge and information.

Switcheroo!

[NGL Ridley’s the hardest one I’ve done so far, bot only because I really didn’t have to do anything to him? He could very easily fit into LoSH universe as-is! Which is p neat, actually.]

He’s still a ruthless, merciless, and elitist space pirate. Scourge of the allied worlds.

Just like the Fatal Five, he’s hard to keep imprisoned, even when he is successfully captured (a rare occurrence).

A real thorn and a half in the Legion’s side. The Science Police fear him and usually leave Ridley-Centric disaster up to the Legion to clean up.

Special investigative branch of the Science Police

He uses the tablet-like device to document everything

Probably a very high-ranking investigative officer becs science police are useless without talented folk like him.

Actually probably thinks the Legion are a bunch of good kids, but maybe they should stop getting into trouble.

I was /this close/ to making him Winathian (basically just a strain of human on a planet called Winath, that is basically Space Kansas, where everyone is born twins) and giving him a missing twin, but didn’t.

[I’m proud of this one and it’s only the 2nd one I’ve made? Also you couldn’t possibly fathom the amount of time i spent on a superhero alias for him for this au. Almost went with Boom-Pow! But.]

He’s a 31st century Earth Baby.

I put Tactile Telekinesis because it literally is a succinct way to describe many of his powers in a way that makes sense to this au/universe.

He’s a Legionnaire. I literally can’t not see him as one. He’d be a very valued member of the Legion.

A thought about them that they’d never share: i lOVE YOU???First impression of them: Honestly his first impression in this continuity was pure and unadulterated fascination. Granted, all he had to go off of was B1′s memories in his database and Glorified Legends in the history files. Clearly meeting the real Superman and seeing how he really was only enamored B5 even more???Favorite thing about them: Is it cheating to say “everything”? Least favorite thing about them: Does not compute?Hopes for their future relationship: You know what I want but can’t have.

Okay so becs reasons, I decided to go with making him the same species as Phantom Girl; He can use intangibility. Bgtzlians are like? Living phantoms.

He’s not supervillain status? He doesn’t appear to be THAT ambitious. But he’s definitely a criminal. Doesn’t even have an alias.

Believes the United Planets are Up To No Good and as corrupt as the rest of humanity and, for religious reasons, believes he can sacrifice people to save planets worth of people from their corruption. (he’s not entirely wrong)
