Today, the Federal Trade Commission launched a public inquiry to better understand how consumers may have been exposed to false or unsupported claims about “gender-affirming care”, especially as it relates to minors, and to gauge the harms consumers may be experiencing. In a Request for Information, the FTC encourages members of the public to comment on any issues or concerns that are relevant to the FTC’s consideration of this topic, including by submitting any written data, advertisements, social media posts, disclosures, or empirical research.
The public will have 60 days to submit comments at Regulations.gov, no later than September 26, 2025. Once submitted, comments will be posted to Regulations.gov. Individuals wishing to submit confidential, non-public comments should reference the alternative submission guidelines in the RFI.

the existence of alien remnants in tmbd is kinda crazy now that im thinking about it. there were aliens out in the stars but the humans got there too late to meet them; all that's left are the strange materials they left behind and what miiight be biological weapons??? and no one knows if the substances that Make Humans Go Crazy were actually intended to work that way or if it's just unfortunate happenstance that human biology aligns so badly with what the aliens left behind.
adding onto this is the fact that these remnants aren't limited to one planet, but are found scattered around on multiple planets in multiple disparate systems. Can they all be traced to a single species? Were there multiple spacefaring civilizations existing in tandem? What happened to them to make them all go extinct? discovering remnants means the planet has to be quarantined and studied by archaeologists, but the synthetic materials left behind can be turned for a profit if a corporation manages to conceal their activity. What are those materials used for? What has the greater scientific community learned about these lost civilizations?
And literally none of these questions get answered because murderbot doesn't give a shit about remnants unless they're actively threatening its/its humans' lives

Small penises aren’t bad, balding isn’t bad, being short isn’t bad, being fat isn’t bad. Physical traits are not signs of morality, and the sooner people stop mocking people for their bodies (yes, even when they’re bad) the better.

whenever I see archeological remains of a human who suffered from a terrible disease that couldn’t be treated in their lifetime but could be fixed now, this wave of sorrow and mourning washes over me. a woman in the 14th century who spent her 35 years of life bent at the waist because of congenital scoliosis. a man from the 18th century who died because of a non cancerous mass on his jaw that made eating progressively more difficult. remains of a woman from the Neolithic who died in childbirth having evidence of peri-mortem trepanation on her skull.
and yet she survived to 35. and yet the physicians in his time tried to strengthen his jaw. and yet someone 4,000 years ago tried to save someone they loved from dying of preeclampsia/increased cranial pressure. we tried. we tried and we tried and we tried. we failed and we learned but we tried. that’s what makes humans so beautiful.

This is also true with filmmakers. Western filmmakers pan their cameras mostly left to right and Iranian filmmakers do right to left.
