The Point of No Return ↠ Flashback ↠ Self-Paragraph
Loosely based on: Everybody has one moment in their life that they can look back on and think ‘this is the reason for everything’. Whether it be a traumatic experience, a realization upon waking up one day, hitting rock bottom, peaking from the top. Tell us about that particular moment in your life.
Raven's head was reeling; feeling herself almost suffocating by the amount of information she had gained. What had she done? Why did she think it would be a smart idea to open the Great Door of the Temple? Her nightmares had become more frequent, they had seemed almost prophetic. It wasn’t until know that she realized that’s what they were – prophecies of her destiny. Throughout her whole life, she had been yearning answers from her father, needing to understand his side of the story. After the meeting, she could confirm that it wasn’t what her heart had desired to hear. Even though he was gone now, the sense of his power flooding in her veins was still traceable. Fingers were digging into locks of dark hair as she paced back and forth, her anxiety building up. She wanted to scream, to cry, but she couldn’t allow herself to do that.
Her breathing heaved, holding onto the wall for something to support herself with – she felt weaker than she ever had been. Or maybe it was the power coursing through her that caused the dizziness. This was what her whole life had lead up to – becoming a portal for a demon? He would have to coerce her to join him, if that was the case. She didn’t want to be a pawn in his plans, used to conquer planets and dimensions. There must be more to life than this, she hoped. Thinking of his next destination. Earth. It was going to be Earth. Raven only knew about the planet from the literature she was offered from her teachers, which wasn’t much. However, a particular thing had come to her attention when reading. It was a peaceful planet, refraining from galactic wars. During her reading, she had also noted that they were weak. They wouldn’t stand a chance against Trigon, unlike her.
Looking down at her hands, she spotted the red marks she had received after her confrontation with Trigon. Maybe the humans wouldn’t be able to stop Trigon, but with her help – they might would stand a chance. Raven couldn’t do it on her own. As much strength as she had, it was Trigon who was in possession of the energy flowing in her body. He could take over her whole being if she lost control, meaning that her inner demon would come up to the surface.
Glancing around inside the temple, looking up at the statue of Azar – Raven knew of what she must do. There wasn’t any other way. Closing her eyes, she reached out into thin air, murmuring to herself. “Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos.” When opening her eyes, Raven spotted a dark portal opening before her. As much as she loved her home, she knew she couldn’t stay. If she were to save Azarath and the planet Earth, it would be time to say her goodbyes. Taking a deep breath, she took a leap of faith – entering the portal. Fleeing from the only place she had ever known as home.

Guard Your Heart Above All Else ↠ Childhood ↠ Self-Paragraph
Loosely based on: Let’s dig a little deeper into that origin. We’ve learned about your family, we got a nice peek behind the curtain, but we’re greedy. We’re dying to know more and for some reason, you’re compelled to tell us. Not every childhood was the same, and no childhood was easy. Give us some detail. Help us understand what molded you into the person you are today.
It was quiet in Azarath. Peaceful. In the centre of the room, a young Raven could be found meditating – murmuring to herself as she sought her peace. From the moment the dark-haired girl had been born, her training had begun. Separated from her mother, she was destined to a life that excluded any sort of attachment to anyone – even her own family.
Sighing, she understood. That was how it is. It was for the better. However, it didn’t soothe the insufferable loneliness that was gnawing inside her, yearning to come out and express itself. Meditation, Raven. That’s what helps, she murmured to herself. At the entrance of another, Raven could sense the aura of her mentor: the goddess Azar. The goddess sat on the opposite side of her, causing Raven to open her eyes. “You seem unfocused, my child,” the elder woman confessed. Glancing to the ground, she pondered over her thoughts. Should she confess? There was no use in hiding her feelings or thoughts, Azar probably already knew them all. There was no way this would be avoidable. “I just… can’t help but think of the unfairness of it all. I didn’t ask to be born. I didn’t ask for any of this.” Had Raven’s control been weaker, this would have been the moment where she would have begun to cry. However, as a child, she had been excellent at controlling her emotions. It was what the monks of Azarath had taught her. The dark-haired girl had been filled with the belief that whenever she felt something; bad things would occur. It was true; she was a prime example of it.
Looking up at Azar, the woman didn’t even seem slightly perplexed at Raven’s statement. Instead, she smiled as if she knew the answers to life. “Nobody asks for any of these things to occur, but they do. Instead of wondering of the whys and the how’s, the wise person determines how to approach the situation,” she replied. “I know you miss your mother, but all in due time. Patience, Raven.” With these last words of wisdom, she parted the white-cloaked girl, to allow her to continue her studies. It’s what she always answers, she thought in exasperation. Closing her eyes, she breathed in and decided to resume her meditation session. Maybe by the gain of more control, the time would be sooner than expected. Her words lingered in her head, motivating her further. Yes, all in due time.

TASK #001 - RAVEN’S GENEALOGY
Trigon:
He came into being hundreds upon hundreds of years ago when a group of humans abandoned life on Earth and established a sect of pacifists in the interdimensional world of Azarath. Embracing the concept of peace, these humans exorcised the dark passions of their souls from their bodies and cast it beyond the Great Door of Azarath into the nether-realms. This leftover evil energy floated in space for years before finally coalescing into a single physical form. It impregnanted a woman and nine months later, Trigon was born. From his very young age he slaughtered and ruled. By the time he was thorty, he had conquered his entire dimension and several million worlds. Over the span of centuries, Trigon sired many children - all of whom he hoped would become extensions of his own great power. In many cases, the children of Trigon rebelled against him and were destroyed. Other times, their human mothers recognized the threat such spawn represented and killed them while they were infants. For all of the seeds he had spread across the dimensions, none of his offspring survived to become the heir of Trigon.
Arella:
Originally born Angela Roth, she was a human who was abandoned by her mother from the moment of her birth. Having never known her father or had any family, she became a ward of the state and was channeled through the foster care system, always migrating from one uncaring family to the next. When religion failed to provide her with a sense of spirituality, she turned to Satanism and became involved in a cult that praised Trigon. Arella was offered as his bride during a sacrifice to him, unaware of his true form. She mated with him, only then to discover what she had done. Trigon left Arella pregnant with a child. Unaware of what to do with herself, she attempted to take her own life. It was only then she was approached by angels from Azarath, who took her under their wings and to their dimension. A pacifist society that promised they would safeguard her child from the influence of Trigon. Gaining her fresh start, she decided to change her name from Angela Roth to Arella - meaning The Messenger Angel.
Raven:
Born in Azarath, everyone expected Raven to be bad news. She was literally the spawn of Satan, bound to doom them all. Separated early from her mother, she was trained to by the goddes Azar to learn control of her emotions that fuelled her powers. Upon Azar’s death, she discovered of her demonic heritage and that without the control of her emotions, she would become a pawn in Trigon’s wish to control the planet Earth. Fleeing from Azarath, she wound up on the very same planet and is determined to protect it from her father. This determination got her noticed and recruited for the Teen Titans.
The Sons of Trigon:
There are hundreds of sons and daughters from Trigon, but six of them made themselves particularly noticeable. The six of them have the powers of a death sin each, whereas Raven is supposed to portray the original sin, pride. Raven has not encountered them yet and therefore doesn’t know of their existence for now.
