The design page, I wanted the layout to be staggered, almost like a mood board.

For the illustration page I want it to be more of an album so it is locked to its gridt

For the about me page I want the text and the photo to fit up to the edge of the page

Logo and Landing Pages

The Negative Spaces form the letters RM which are my initials 

I want there to be a duality between my design and illustration pages so I had tried working with black and white to make that duality pop. If I were to go with this idea in the final website I would most likely choose a colour that is not pure black and not pure white so it doesn't strain the viewers eye. I also would like to have the circles in the middle move to the opposite side of whichever side it chooses, which would result in either the black or white taking over thus becoming a header for it’s respective page. 

Same Idea here with the differentiating but with shape.

Mood Board

While researching websites for inspiration I found out that RossDraws’ website, especially his print shop page was very aesthetically pleasing and I would really like to have some sort of similar layout when designing my own print shop page. Once you hover over a specific print the image would become an image of mockup print which I believe is really smart in conveying what the actual print would look like.

Another website that I found very inspiring was June Digan’s website. Her use of colour is really cohesive and I would like to incorporate my own colour pallet like how she did. I specifically liked her about me page and how it extended to the borders of the page. Her website really displays a lot of character which I would like to do as well.

Lastly while looking at Darren Hughes Art portfolio website the first thing that stood out to me was his landing page and how minimalistic and simple it was. There was not much on the screen besides an illustration, His name and logo, and an enter shortcut. His name and the enter shortcut was so bold and my eye naturally went to it, I would like to have a good composition like his when creating my website.

Personal Website Market Analysis

The website I created for myself is a portfolio website where I display the designs that I had created as a student and illustrations that I created for myself and for commissions.

The market for my website is going to be Viewing my work and selling myself as well.

The users of my websites are going to be Professors and directors at Queens College who are interested in evaluating my work. People who want to hire me to illustrate a piece for them and future employers.

My competitors would be other student's portfolios, designers that work on Fiverr, and other artist's portfolios.

Market Analysis Practice

The client I have chosen is Apple.

Market: The market of Apple is Mobile Devices, Operating systems/ software, Computers, and Audio devices.

User: The users would be devotees of the brand, people who are interested in upgrading their devices, or get a new device.

Competitors: Samsung, with their mobile devices mainly their phones and tablets. As well as their audio devices. Microsoft, with their computers and their operating system. Android with their operating system. Spotify with their software.
