Me: Im skipping my first class because I just couldn't fall asleep last night
Me in my head: I'm skipping class because last night I had one of the biggest breakdowns last night that I have had in this past year and I'm too depressed to face the world today and if I got in my car to drive myself to school I can't promise you I wouldn't try to drive into a tree on the way there.
Mom: I'm going to start taking your computer and phone away because *lists 30 different reasons memorized off the internet about why electronics are bad for teenagers*
Me: Fine. I don't even care. I wasn't even using my computer or my phone. It's not going to change anything.
Me in my head: I wasn't using my computer or my phone because I was sitting in my bathroom with a blade. But, you know, taking those things is such a wonderful idea, because when I have breakdowns at 1am the very best possible thing for me to do is have absolutely no way of communicating with anyone that I can actually talk to and that can actually calm me down. You're such a genius.
