Love to see that you wanted to share your best/favorite pieces you've created for this and other classes.
Art Project 5 : Open Work
For my final piece of work in class I wanted to share all of my best pieces from various art classes including this 4D class.
I don’t think I’ve ever thought that my art would go anywhere else than just a drawing and I never wanted to paint when making art because I always thought that I was terrible painting or anything that proceeds forward of color that isn’t black and white of graphite and ink.
I’m very proud of my improvement because overall it tells me that my range of abilities is continuously growing and that I’m becoming better at what I am interested in. Almost as if it’s a checkpoint of my overall goal for future.

“Praise Him”
Artist statement 5:
I choose to do a collage because I struggle with 4D media types and I wanted to push myself for this final project. The mediums I choose was a photo of myself, and a two watercolor paintings. One of Jesus’ face, and the other of his hand reaching out and grabbing another from the water to pull them out from drowning. This collage is a representation of my rescue from death into life by Jesus. He pulled me out of depression, anxiety, and loneliness, into joy, and peace, and hope. I hope you can see my emotional expression through this piece.

Title- Loneliness During Covid
Artist Statement-
The need to have contact with others is extremely high. In the beginning of the pandemic we were confined to our homes, not being able to have contact with other members of family or friends. Sometimes it could be lonely and you need a friend. This performance is done to exaggerate that need of contact.

Art Project 5: Open Work

I wanted to create an epic fight scene between Thanos against Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor. Inspired by the battle after Thanos attacked the Avengers HQ. I used cotton balls to keep the flames burning for the shot. Used dirt and recycled materials for the debris. Lighting for this shot was key to capture the mood and emotion of the shot. This however took a day and a half to fully setup. It was a blast to capture.

Artist Statement 4
I wanted to display how I set up action figure photo shoots. From selecting a figure from my collection, to messing around with it, to getting the right lighting and angles, to a light spray for strong light shots. Additionally, showing off the final result of the photo shoot with color correction and edits. But this was mostly done to show one of my hobbies.

I loved the amazing use of pop culture/geek clips from movies, shows, and video games. Additionally, the song worked well for the video.

Dear lord, you captured the immaturity about that guy. Speaks before thinks.

Artist Statement.
Being that I am a political person I decided to bring that energy to my Super Cut. I have a strong disdain for Tucker Carlson and his work. I think he is a fear monger that will say anything he needs to given the situation and can change whims on a dime. By definition of his own words, I see him as a child that should in fact do something else, anything else.

Artist  statement .
Within  “A call to war”  wanted to capture the moment where we can seen these character have an inner monologue with themselves. Coming to terms with the horror’s that lay before and their ultimate acceptance of their situation. Though their facial expression we can tell what they are feeling. With out them having to utter a single word..

Overview of Performance Art and Readings 4
Performance art has become an essential form of art for many artists. A better way to express themselves to an audience, even to create a stronger connection with an audience. It creates interest within an audience, to keep them hooked and wanting more. Additionally, artists use performance to challenge an audience’s ideas and their own perception. I personally don’t really do performance art, yet it’s very interesting to see. Although some performances are incredibly disturbing to view.
This reading went on a deeper and serious tone for performance art. By first stating a performance of Christopher Colombus and what he has done. It’s an interesting viewpoint on performance art. Showing how it can be a lot deeper and richer meaning. Additionally, the inclusion of “avant-garde” performance art explaining how it “appropriating and fetishizing the primitive and simultaneously erasing the original source continues into contemporary.” This reading was incredibly interesting and rich with details.

King of The Monsters
[SUPER CUT] I was in a crazy Godzilla craze when creating this piece. I previously done an amazing photoshoot of a Godzilla figure of mine before Godzilla vs Kong was released, and after that, I drew a goofy illustration of the 2 characters. So I wanted to create something pretty epic to portray the King of The Monsters. I did this by adding a lot of my favorite scenes together from the Godzilla films made by Legendary backed up by Godzilla’s new theme in the background. I just wanted to show really epic and fantastic scenes that showed Godzilla and his feats. Showing clips/scenes of why he is the King of The Monsters.

Time and Motion
This chapter brought to light the importance of time and time perception within art. How some art has an end goal, the beginning of a piece and the end of the piece through actual time. For example, the stages of a butterfly can work for the actual time within a piece. Motion can also come into play as visualized time within a piece. Showing an apple fall from a tree can help with motion and time. Another way of showing time is by using frames within a video, a video of a person walking down some set of stairs. Additionally, the importance of how a piece of art will age through time. How will it be viewed by others in the future? Would it still have its intended meaning or will the meaning change? This article also made me question how my art will be viewed through time. Will it be viewed in a goofy and comedic sense? Or will it be viewed as immature and or insignificant? Furthermore, how can I use time and motion to my advantage in my art pieces? Should I use actual time or perhaps implied time? This article raised a lot of questions that can help me out later on with future pieces.
Vanishing and Becoming
The beginning of this article was beautifully crafted, how art is represented as a reflection of reality, I also see it as a copy of reality. It makes the article a lot more meaningful. Starting off with an incredibly strong philosophical way of interpreting art. This way of thinking seems to be recent, however, it seems to be an older idea. Not only that but the many other ideas or beliefs that came to be in other parts of the world are fascinating. Many different views of art are truly eye-opening. I ask myself, How are these concepts and ideas so fascinating to read about? It’s probably the way it makes me think about art in a different way. Additionally, the deeper meaning that art in general has. In philosophical, mythical, and archeological ways of origin are mentioned. The article just continues to go deeper about art and brings other examples into the picture. Giving an amazing understanding of art makes me question my art and other’s art in the process. For example, the humanity within art and its meaning, how it can relate to us, how we feel about it. How some ideas vanish and others become a stronger idea.
