they all acted as narrative foils to Jax's character this episode which I really enjoyed

I don't think they're the only two who got them, hear me out

Jax has a mask too it's just less literal, you can see it in his eyes

His pupils reach the edge of his eyes when he has it in place

But when he makes a realization (among other things, this is just an example) the mask slips

While jax's "gimmick" seems more self imposed than gangle or zoobles I think all three are integral parts of their characters made visual

Even when he tries to he can't completely override it, his pupils still don't reach the edges even if they're stretched farther than squares

Potentially this theory applies to kinger and queenie as well (or perhaps everybody who enters the circus, like a physical manifestation of the mind)

But that's another rant, one of many

Disclaimer: but that's just a theory, a goat theory! somebody else may have already noticed this and said something but I've had a [bloinkin] weektm and have not seen it
