Oh shit it's been a hot minute since I've posted but anyway-

As per, as it seems, tradition, I participated in a Secret Santa in @/sushushh's lovely Discord server. This is @kit3_ii's character (masc) persona. It seems I always get assigned to draw pretty boys for this events and I am not complaining ehehe~

I did get a gift back of my girlie Yaashi and I'll be sharing it on my story as well, OUGH I love it so very much~

Final Boss

IMARA NAKYANZI, the burly swordfighter who founded MAKARA; initially, her one-woman side hustle. She has since retired to the humble life of a fishmonger, but still oversees MAKARA's missions and it's agents.

Imara was once a selfish, prideful and vain individual. However, her previous job as a sword-fighting teacher to the young prodigy Vera initiated a change within her for the good of the girl. She is firm but fair, encouraging, protective.

VÉRA KUKLA-SED'MAYA, an ex-prodigy, MAKARA's youngest and strongest agent. Her fighting style is precise and rhythmic, her mind is as sharp as her swords. Her manner of speaking, however, is quite blunt and uncharismatic.

She uses art (whether it be in her sketchbook or thrown up in spray paint) to counterbalance the calculated rhythms of the other aspects of her life. Furthermore, she marks the institutions that they raid with MAKARA's symbol to make their deeds known.

Véra arrived in the city alongside Imara Nakyanzi, her sword-fighting instructor from her time as a Prodigy. She trusts her like a daughter would her mother...

The manic laughter of SHĒNGGǑU YĚ can be heard throughout the streets, indicating the wild dog's thrill amid a brawl, even if he's on the losing end. The man is constantly hungry for a fight, with uncontainable energy and a seemingly infinite stamina.

Shenggou is often loud and rambunctious, doing things for his own amusement, trying to annoy his friends. He has a strong love for his family, especially his older sister; the perfect child he failed to be. To his parents, he's more tame, respectful and well mannered, though only to a certain extent...

YAASHI M. MAHARAJ, a thespian of many faces; a byronic hero, a femme fatale and a damsel in distress. Her outfit is easy to manipulate, allowing her to quickly transform between these three (main) characters whilst on missions. She utilises her acting skills in tandem with hallucinogens to manipulate her targets into believing that she truly is the character she aims to portray, in order to obtain vital information for MAKARA's missions.

Offstage she is just as dramatic and eccentric, often prompting her friends to play along. She's assertive but not controlling, which helps her with her job as well as living with her roommates.

KODA KODA, a shape-shifter that can morph from poison dart frog to "human," Koda is an engineer of it's own poison. They've been able to modify their poison to be sweet in taste, work faster or slower, or reverse it to have healing properties, and in turn has become somewhat of a medic for MAKARA's agents.

Despite her flamboyant and bold personality, Koda is very much a hermit, she rarely ever leaves her lab, let alone MAKARA's headquarters, and even then she refuses to go outside in her human form.

CYPRUS SIN-DÉFTEROS, a boy haunted by the whispers of his past. During his time as a Prodigy, he was scornfully compliant with The Professor that raised him, up until a certain point; he refused to use his strength to hurt others. A graceful war machine with a heart of gold.

He now exists as an echo of the man he once was, naive to the world due to losing a chunk of his memory, unknowing of how it happened... Despite this, he’s still maintained a lot of his fighting capabilities, albeit compromised, as well as his endearing personality; he’s easily excitable and incredibly sweet, though, for now, his indignance still sleeps…

Upon first meeting XARIAH DAICHI, they can be perceived as standoffish, overall unfriendly. Among those they feel safe around (which includes the other MAKARA agents), however, they’re playfully sarcastic and blunt. They can easily shift into being genuine if the situation calls for it and those closest to them find it easy to confide in them.

They have a knack for gadgetry and constructing weapons, which they wield in battle, these include: a grappling hook, guns, knives, throwing knives and occasionally, a battle-axe.

They harbour a dark secret; they were responsible for the partial erasure of their best friend's memory. This web of lies burdens them with immense guilt. They dare not reveal the truth to anyone, for fear that everything they had worked to build would fall apart...

MYKA IBAÑEZ, a sweet girl that can often be seen rollerblading around the city, her bright hair like a flame in the night.

She works at a local [Filipino] restaurant. The owners took her in when she appeared in the place a few years ago as a fearful teenager seeking refuge.

Over the years they have become like family to her. Despite her friendly demeanour, few of those close to her know of her past as a lab rat in a Prodigy institution, the only evidence of such the burn scars that snake down her left side. The girl keeps her cards close to her chest...

LIAR LIAR, CHAOS FIRE: OC Debut Teaser

SYNOPSIS Morality has long since been sacrificed for the pursuit of progress. A future where children are selected to become weapons known as ‘Prodigies,’ who exhibit the extent of science, technology and martial prowess. A world where deities are created by sinners.

Two survivors of one of the many laboratories specialised in raising a Prodigy, Xariah Daichi and Cyprus Sin-Defteros; a lab rat and a Prodigy. They find refuge among the members of MAKARA, a ragtag group of vigilantes fighting to erode the work of the sinners who remain unpunished for the atrocities they have committed.

But who can you trust when lying is the only way to survive?

Ehe, hi hello, so I've been working on character designs/redesigns for my OC story that I've been developing for a while: Liar Liar, Chaos Fire. It's not a novel or a webcomic or anything, it just... Exists in my brain at the moment, but I will be using these guys for future illustrations that will hopefully hint at what their stories and dynamics and shit. Three of the characters I've drawn a few times before but the rest of 'em I've only shown to some of my friends, so I'm very excited to reveal them here, it's taken me ~3 months to finish this lineup, and that's not even counting the time it took to figure out their designs/redesigns.

I'll be revealing each of these characters individually over the next few weeks with a short character description, so if you'd like to follow along I'd recommend reading the synopsis (^) which puts them into a lil context ;)

When I made this artwork in 2023 I was pretty strictly an art kid, and as a now graphic design student would definitely handle the treatment of the text a lot differently 💀 Might end up remaking this artwork, we'll see <3
