The above are reddit links about some very whitewashed Winx Club keychains. I figured they were some old toys because Rainbow used to do cheap kid toys with this style.
Boy do I look stupid because these are very real and new things on the Winx Club shop!
I had to do a screenshot with the names because otherwise you wouldn't recognize Aisha, who has Flora's skin tone, and Flora, who is...hell I don't know, some bonus girl.

Thoughts on the Ai?
If you’ve somehow missed this - Rainbow was caught using AI in the Winx Club reboot. Other people have made better posts, but the evidence is very clear, imo. When asked by fans, Straffi said it wasn’t AI, but some conspiracy theory being spread online by ‘competitors.’ What a normal thing to say! I do not believe him!
Anyway I made a pie chart to explain my feelings. Hope it clears things up for you, anon!

Elisha's farewell speech gives me a vibe of "IM FREEEEEE!!!!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY FUCKING LIFE"
I can't find what she wrote about it, but I remember she posted it like, hours after the cancellation was announced. And it 100% gave off that vibe. She was calling out 'bye' barreling down the driveway.
We may see Elisha again in a different series, but you know, it's so hard for Asian actors to break into mainstream roles...

So because I love torturing y’all, I’m taking you on this whiplash adventure I went on in the last hour. In digging around for Fate 2 news addressing casting, I checked Wikipedia to find the list of people blaming Brian Young for whitewashing Winx Club now included the OG himself, your least favorite Italian and mine, Iginio Straffi
And I was like ‘wow, this is surprising considering it’s Straffi’s IP and he is no stranger to changing skin tones for aesthetic. But I guess you should try to back away from dumpster fires, even if it’s your dumpster.’
But then I decided to check the source to see if there was any more Fate-hating in there (because I’m weak).
Only to find - surprise - the Wikipedia quote was only part one of Staffi’s answer! And part two said the controversy just due to exaggerated sensitivity over JUST Musa’s casting, nobody cared about it anymore, and a minor detail like *looks at hand* representation, won’t affect Winx Club as a whole.
There are other parts of the interview that radiate the same what the fuck energy as this but don’t really apply to this blog (including Straffi wanting to do a whole new live action Winx universe with Helen Mirren as Faragonda), but I am again going to link the interview in case you want to suffer with me.
Moral of the story? Check your sources, Straffi has no idea how modern Western media works, and I still hate everything.
