this is verrrry difficult… i think if hal were to ever accidentally call dirk daddy, he would genuinely not see hal for months afterwards. i mean he’s also trying to dissect every possible reason why she’d accidentally refer to him as a patriarchal father figure without dry heaving from stress. theyre both suffering as much mental damage to if dirk accidentally called her CAL.

strokes chin.. dirk and hal are very similar ofc but the nuances of their psychosexual hangups are slightly different. like take hal’s parallel equius and her whole deal with being titillated by the idea of being superior yet also degraded by not being Enough.

you could interpret ult dirk cockblocking rosebot and terezi as a repression of his own sexuality, it's unknown how "distracted" he really was for that to play out so far, which is kind of interesting. like ofc rosebot is under his thumb and is almost an extension of him, but this is also the persona guy so like how much of him was kind of down for lezzing out as long as it was under a different alias, u feel me.
