ARTIST IN NEED OF SOME HELP/IDEAS!

(TW: abuse, SA, dark stuff, death, n3crophillia, freaky people ☹️)

-will be updated as the last few designs are created-

This is for my God Oc series I call The Symbols. I plan on writing songs for each of these characters and story as I slowly write it. Its all heavily inspired by Greek Mythology, Yaelokre, and some of my favorite music artists such as Will Wood.

Each of these characters are a representation of humanity and its issues and its goodness. As well as having an animal/insects(bugs) connected to them. With the exception of one of the main ocs who doesn't have an animal/insect counterpart

Below are the five of the 6 finished designs for the Main gods (the fifth one i keep changing his look. Will be updated when I get an official look)

Calliope: A goddess of evil and anger, though was supposed to be a goddess of childhood neglect/abuse

Juan: God of jealously as he was drowned by a jealous family member

Kaylie: Goddess of human health as she passed away due to her illness

Marcus: A god of violence. Hes a jack rabbit and he was a victim of g@ng violence.

Koiyo: God of addiction as he died from a DUI while with his friend. Hes a bee as he was depapitaed.

Camren: A human born god that is the mortal embodiment of a fire phenix

Now for more background gods me and my friends characters that represent more of other aspects of humanity. We've had no problem with making characters of the horrible side of it. Though we need some nice, good characters such as Kaylie that can represent the good parts of humanity.

These are the few that we've made, but haven't even thought of or made any ’good’ gods for the good side if humanity.

Kakos: God creature of canabilism as, it was eaten alive by a cannibal before dying. Its body is made of multiple different body parts of different people

Mukade: A god of SA as before her death she was SA’d. She brings horrible luck and death or R@ppists and provide comfort and luck towards victims of it

Chikan: A god of necrophilia as well... His reference sheet explained everything... Hes a coffin fly.

Any help for ideas to fill the better side of humanity is heavily helpful!

has anyone figured out what the last names of the tulpar crew are? we have their signatures from the unburnt versions of their ID cards (sourced from the wiki, which could be wrong!)

there aren't any unburnt versions for swansea and curly. but here they are anyway

EDIT: what i've gotten and heard so far is listed below. i want to discuss this though because i'm *fascinated*

- jimmy's surname is most likely zare. the first letter is absolutely a z, and ends with an e, and zare is a real surname

- daisuke's last name starts with a j, and i've seen junpei as a suggestion. the final character is likely an exclamation point and not an i (he already uses a star at the beginning of his signature, after all)

- anya's last name is either musume OR aslume. i lean towards the former

- swansea's last name probably ends with a d?

- curly's legal name is likely grant curly, where he goes by his surname

Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.

Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?

I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.

Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.

Tips for writing those gala scenes, from someone who goes to them occasionally:

Generally you unbutton and re-button a suit coat when you sit down and stand up.

You’re supposed to hold wine or champagne glasses by the stem to avoid warming up the liquid inside. A character out of their depth might hold the glass around the sides instead.

When rich/important people forget your name and they’re drunk, they usually just tell you that they don’t remember or completely skip over any opportunity to use your name so they don’t look silly.

A good way to indicate you don’t want to shake someone’s hand at an event is to hold a drink in your right hand (and if you’re a woman, a purse in the other so you definitely can’t shift the glass to another hand and then shake)

Americans who still kiss cheeks as a welcome generally don’t press lips to cheeks, it’s more of a touch of cheek to cheek or even a hover (these days, mostly to avoid smudging a woman’s makeup)

The distinctions between dress codes (black tie, cocktail, etc) are very intricate but obvious to those who know how to look. If you wear a short skirt to a black tie event for example, people would clock that instantly even if the dress itself was very formal. Same thing goes for certain articles of men’s clothing.

Open bars / cash bars at events usually carry limited options. They’re meant to serve lots of people very quickly, so nobody is getting a cosmo or a Manhattan etc.

Members of the press generally aren’t allowed to freely circulate at nicer galas/events without a very good reason. When they do, they need to identify themselves before talking with someone.

Make pride accessible for everyone!!!!

I made a post about this last year and the year before, and thought if I did it this way it gives people and orgs something to work towards. Often people forget that disabled people aren't just wheelchair users, and even those who are, need more than just that ramp!

My first ever pride, not only as a wheelchair but my first ever EVER pride, I went in expecting to feel at home.

Obviously I wasn't, I'm disabled, so why should I?

Instead there was just a ridiculous amount of uneven flooring, a steep ramp to the disabled toilet, no sanitary towel bin in the disabled toilet (???) no allowances to be let out of the festival to fetch things from my car, no where quiet and organisers who seemed genuinely surprised to see a wheelchair user!

My next pride, three years later, I was a seller, and while they had sorted their toilet problem (still no sanitary towel bin???), the hill to get in wouod have been genuinely impossible for me to get to if I hadn't been driving to get my stall in anyway, even with someone pushing me, no quiet areas, plenty of kerbs for me to get stuck at and again, genuine surprise.

Why is it so surprising to consider disabled people might be at pride? Not only do queer disabled people exist, but parents and family of queer kids and people, vendors and even entertainers!

Making pride accessible is crucial!
