Thorough analysis of some aspects of Mugen’s character design from Samurai Champloo. He’s an extremely well designed character who can teach a lot about more or less known aspects of the art. What little details make up why exactly he looks so cool? 

This is my first time doing one of these. The “reference” part is among my favorites to analyze in designs and I might make more in the future. Of course, these are only a few chosen aspects that apply to this design alone. Character design comes with so much more complexities if you want to dig for it. Different styles, characters and productions all have their own things to focus on. Through it’s strong focus on purposefully clashing periods of history and art history, Champloo is an especially fun show to analyze visual inspirations for.

ive been brewing up ideas for my oc story for soo long,, gahh. they're actually gonna be real now so i'll try to update little by little.

it revolves around three girlies who have supernatural abilities, who come from different backgrounds. mostly developing a sense of their own identity and learning how to accept it

main characters are Yuzra, Deena and Mika (although Yuzra is my go to protagonist)
