To my fellow people who work professionally with books: NetGalley is free for booksellers, librarians etc! You just have to get approved (super quick) and if you read a book via their service you have to write a short review on it but they have lots and lots of books that are right up to date! They also provide epubs for e-readers etc.

hey you: do NOT buy slow horses books. the author is a loser who hates women, don't give him your money. grab them for FREE from a local or online library. or other sources

1) I have a CD called „Mittelalterparty Vol. 3“ (Medieval Party Vol.3) that’s just a mix of different medieval / folk / rock artists, I don’t know where it came from, it just spawned in the household one day, it’s a weird niche thing and it’s my go to CD for our car without BlueTooth so that’s definitely coming!

2) „Starlight Express“ (the musical) - the 2013 Bochum Cast Recording (Technically it’s a two CD box set but I‘m counting it as one. If I had to choose I‘d go with the first one!)

3) „Hans Zimmer live in Prague“ from 2019 (again technically a two CD box set but I‘m counting it as one)

4) „Zwillinge der Finsternis“ - Die Drei ??? („Twins of Darkness) - „Die Drei ???“ is a super popular audio play series in Germany. It’s been running since the 70s with over 230 episodes. This is my favorite episode!

5) „The war to end all wars - history edition“ - Sabaton (my favorite band!)

6) „Money for Nothing“ - Dire Straits (childhood memories!)

7) „500 Miles“ - The Hooters (more childhood memories!)

I work in a bookstore. I am surrounded by books, all day every day. I have constant free access to bestsellers, prize winners, long-sellers and new-ins. It’s also literally my job to read and judge.

And I can confidently say that your work is by far the BEST thing I‘ve read in a VERY LONG time. I‘m not kidding when I say the quality of your writing surpasses many books that are currently on Germany‘s Spiegel-Bestseller-List. The print copy of Old Habits Die Hard permanently lives in my bag. For, you know, emergency situations where it NEEDS to be read immediately.

If I could recommend your fics in our store you best believe I would.

Spiders desperate attempt at flirting with Louisa at the chieftain office will never not be funny to me. Within five minutes he:

- calls her lovely, very out of character, (to wich she replies, go fuck yourself, very in character)

- makes clear he holds no grudges towards her for getting shot while she was running security (in the worst way possible)

- expresses his condolences for Mins death (the ONLY truly honest words this character has ever spoken on screen)

- tells her about his massive income

- tells her about his massive car

- tells her about his massive penis

- asks her to kiss his anus (wtf dude?!)

- offers her a job interview

All of which in front of an audience. Mate, how badly do you need to get laid to take this terribly calculated risk of massive embarrassment?!
