Republicans have secured their legacy of weak performative politics. There is no strength. No moral compass. No sense of right and wrong.
People are murdered and Republicans will respond according to their indoctrination.

Emily Singer at Daily Kos:
Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis announced plans on Thursday to erect a second concentration camp in his state, wasting millions in taxpayer funds in an effort to help President Donald Trump carry out his evil deportation agenda. Dubbing it the "Deportation Depot," DeSantis said he wants to open the 1,300-bed detention facility at the currently shuttered Baker Correctional Institution in Sanderson, Florida, located west of Jacksonville. DeSantis said the facility is needed to help Dear Leader Trump deport more immigrants. “There is a demand for this,” DeSantis said at a news conference. “I’m confident it will be filled.”
According to a fact sheet handed out to reporters at a news conference, the facility would feature the "same setup" as the so-called "Alligator Alcatraz" in the Everglades—a human rights abomination where detainees are reportedly being held in scorching hot, bug-infested, and unsanitary tents without access to proper nutrition, bathroom facilities, or legal representation. The camps are being built using a $600 million federal grant, according to Florida Division of Emergency Management Director Kevin Guthrie.  This is all part of Trump's despicable immigration crackdown, in which Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are racially profiling people to detain, even if those people are citizens. In fact, Trump is seeking to hire more ICE agents to help carry out his deportations—something that’s proving more difficult than anticipated. To beef up the deportation force, the Department of Homeland Security is offering financial incentives and lowering its standards, announcing that it will accept people regardless of age or education level.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) seeks to erect plans for a 2nd concentration camp for immigrants in his state, called “Deportation Depot” (or more accurately, Deportation Dachau).

TELL YOUR SENATORS TO VOTE YES ON THE PROTECTING HEALTHCARE AND LOWERING COSTS ACT (HR4849)
I've just contacted my senators, Thom Tillis and Budd to urge them to vote yes on HR4849 - The Protecting Healthcare and Lowering Costs Act to undo the damage done by TinyHands McHitlerstein and the omnibus bill he means to kill hundreds of thousands of his own constituents with in order to ingratiate himself with the hyper-rich. I urge you to do the same with your own Senators. Here's the script I used when I mailed each of them and called them at their congressional phone lines.
Mr. Tillis, I am a constituent of yours in __________. As you're well aware when you broke ranks earlier this year in regards to the gutting of Medicaid, we here in NC are about to be affected egregiously by the result. We have a chance to right this wrong with the passage of HR4849, the Protecting Healthcare and Lowering Costs Act. We have a chance with its passage to restore and give access to quality healthcare to the people who need it most, as opposed to building un-necessary gold-plated ballrooms or weaponizing our military for domestic occupation to further a fascist coup of our nation, or simply handing it to the already hyper-rich as a tax break while millions of ordinary Americans will be forced to choose between food and necessary medications and care.
The lives of your constituents are literally in peril from a domestic enemy who eschews his duty to the constitution on a daily basis. We need you to find your courage and break ranks once more. We need you to stand for us and your oath, sir. Vote yes for HR4849. Even at this late date, it is within your power to help us all.

A new site, FuckLAPD.com, is using public records and facial recognition technology to allow anyone to identify police officers in Los Angeles they have a picture of. The tool, made by artist Kyle McDonald, is designed to help people identify cops who may otherwise try to conceal their identity, such as covering their badge or serial number. “We deserve to know who is shooting us in the face even when they have their badge covered up,” McDonald told me when I asked if the site was made in response to police violence during the LA protests against ICE that started earlier this month. “fucklapd.com is a response to the violence of the LAPD during the recent protests against the horrific ICE raids. And more broadly—the failure of the LAPD to accomplish anything useful with over $2B in funding each year.”
