"Kai's good with kids!" slightly incorrect. Kai is good with stubborn, troublesome kids. Dudes been shown to be dogshit when solely interacting with pretty much all people younger than him except for Nya, Lloyd, & Wyldfyre
He raised Nya, but we know that girl. We've seen her. I know she was a NIGHTMARE kid. She has strong opinions, holds grudges, and does whatever she wants. I love her for this. I also know teenage Kai was fighting for his LIFE. Lloyd was Little Shit Extraordinaire, and he didn't have the bonus of being blood-related to Kai, so Kai had 0 incentive to like him. Even still, Kai heard a small child in distress and immediately Locked In and decided awesome, I'm protecting you forever now. Wyldfyre similarly annoyed the absolute shit out of him, but Kai had his Growth. He still threw hands with Wyldfyre but the difference here is he knew she could fight back. He clocked pretty immediately she had an impatient temper but had a very strong love for her tiny family of 2 (oh hey s1 Kai when'd you get here) and in NO time began flawlessly mentoring.
Kai is like a guy who went to a camp for troubled youths, grew up, then decided to become a counselor at that same camp. He can wrangle a teenage dirtbag out of an alley like a stray cat but if you put him in the same room as a fairly normal kid he's looking at them like this

Serene ref for ArtFight She has a ton of other outfits, but I leaned toward the classic one. A friend saw this reference and the Orion one and said, "Wow, you've improved a lot." And I don't know what to say. I look at my art and it looks the same as it did two years ago. Anyway, I really like how it turned out.

jokes to make after failure that aren’t self-deprecating:
I’m the best to ever do it
Nobody saw that (best if said loudly)
No one’s ever done it like me
I could be President/they should make me President
Behold, a mere fraction of my power!
The public wants to be me soooooo bad
I’m an expert in (thing you just failed at)
How could this have happened to god’s favorite princess?
Nothing ibuprofen and a glass of water cant fix
I’m being sabotaged

What if Tenna was a moth!!!! Similarly to how moths are drawn towards lights!! Tenna puts all of his attention on the Lightners!!! I’ve seen a small handful of artists giving Tenna more bug features and I wanted to throw my hat in the ring with moth Tenna! Design thoughts below
So moths most well known features that felt like they must be included for it to be recognizable as moth is their antennae, fluffy thorax, and the wing shapes with having a circle or shape in the middle that confuses predators that those spots are eyes. so going with one thing at a time I gave Tenna these little static electricity that goes around their antennas to give a more moth antenna look! For the fluffy Thorax I didn’t wanted to add too much to his design since I would already be adding in wings. So I widened his shoulders and adding in those suit shoulder pads, I made the lapels of his suit more pointy, as well as making sure there was Dimension to his chest. Lastly the wings! For the spots or “eyes” I did the simplified Tenna design, the mini crts! That way when looking at the spots you’re still looking at TV. He also has a belt with his logo on it so he would absolutely have his own visage on his wings. I still wanted his red suit and tv head to be the main focus, so I used the same colors as the highlights on his pants and shadows on his face for his wings! I last minute decided to add the little wing tails to keep with his little suit tails!
overall first time I’ve actually done design in a while and feel like I’ve really Finished something in a long while so I’m pretty happy with it!!

Chapters: 1/1 Fandom: 太太!我喜欢你! | Sensei! I Like You So Much! (Video Game) Rating: General Audiences Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Cordelia | RippleBoat/Mila | SqueamySquid Characters: Cordelia | RippleBoat, Mila | SqueamySquid Additional Tags: Fluff, Funny, Miscommunication, Late Night Writing, ironically enough this is not beta read, also ironically enough i stayed up late to finish this, no beta we die like mila's dignity
Summary:
Mila writes some romantic fluff of her OTP, Cora x Sophia, very late at night. She uploads it and goes to bed without checking for any mistakes. In the morning, she wonders why Cordelia keeps smiling at her. Or: Cordelia also goes by "Cora".
I should get some sleep.
Mila blearily blinked as she stared into the word document. She knew she had classes tomorrow, but since they only started in the afternoon, she thought she could stay up for a bit longer to write a short drabble.
It wasn't anything fancy. Just wholesome, rated G fluff of her OTP, Sophira, kissing and hugging. The multi-chapter fic she has been working on recently has been doing numbers, but writing it began to feel more like a chore than a hobby. All the political drama and secret affairs she had to plan out were starting to drive her crazy. The drabble was a welcome breath of fresh air, though it quickly turned from a short snippet into a 6 thousand word one-shot. Mila wasn't sure how or when that happened, but it seemed the fandom goddess was on her side that night and the words just broke out onto the pages like a flood of letters.
The mouse on the screen hovered over the 'close' button as Mila bit her lip in thought. Was this fic really worth the cost of being a zombie at that day's lecture?
A memory of a pink haired girl appeared in her mind.
"I can't wait to see the next one."
Mila glanced at the hour in the corner of her screen. 03:40AM.
Well, I already stayed up, she reasoned. I'll just finish this quickly. It'll be worth it.
She continued from where she left off, the soft clicks of the keys filling the room's silence and creating a cozy atmosphere. Mila started to describe how one of the characters, Cora, was combing her fingers through her lover's hair. Mila looked up at one of the show's posters she had hung up on her wall. It depicted the two characters, Cora and Sophia, leaning against each other at the beach while watching the sunset. The angle perfectly showed their difference in hair length. Sophia's hair reached her shoulders, while Cora's almost reached her knees.
Maybe it was just because of the late hour, but Mila couldn't help but blink as she thought about Cora's name. Cordelia also went by the nickname "Cora". It wasn't based on the character, surprisingly enough. The character just happened to share the name with her.
If Mila wasn't afraid of sounding cheesy, she might have even called it destiny. Of course the person sharing the name of her beloved character was the one who got her to share her writing with the world. Who else could it be?
Not to mention that, even ignoring the character entirely, the name "Cora" fit Cordelia like a glove. It was adorable, too. Mila absentmindedly wondered what it would be like, to share the name of a character she loved. It would probably feel much more awkward to write emotional scenes. Everything would feel like a self-insert.
Mila looked back at her screen. She needed to finish the fic, not get lost in thought. She kept writing for about half an hour, writing a whole scene filled with soft kisses and warm hugs before she decided she was done. She couldn't really think of anything more, and her eyes were really starting to burn. She looked at her fanfic account, wondering if she should wait until morning so she can check the fic for any mistakes. She shrugged as she copied the text onto the site and clicked "post". This fic wasn't meant to be serious, anyway. Hopefully her readers wouldn't mind a few typos.
Satisfied, she turned off her laptop and immediately collapsed into her bed, falling asleep in barely a few minutes.
Cordelia wouldn't stop smiling at her.
When Cordelia visited Mila in the morning for breakfast, she thought she was imagining it. When Cordelia kept glancing at her for the 4th, 5th, 9th time, it became obvious something was afoot. Mila wasn't sure how to ask, though. "Why are you acting weird" isn't exactly a great conversation starter.
"You're in a good mood today," she said instead, pouring them both a cup of coffee. Cordelia only smiled wider in response.
"Of course," Cordelia nodded as Mila handed her a steaming cup. "You made my day yesterday, truly."
"I did?" Mila almost spilled coffee over her hand in surprise. She regained her composure and sat down. "How?"
Cordelia opened her mouth as if about to answer, but then closed it as she looked at Mila. Something in her mind seemed to click as her expression shifted into a mix of amusement and surprise. She smiled while taking a sip of her coffee, not looking at Mila as she said: "I just really liked the fic you uploaded last night."
Mila, like an absolute fool, accepted this reason without much thought.
They finished breakfast and went their own ways. Mila hurried to the lecture and thankfully wasn't too tired to pay attention. As the professor started explaining the slides on the presentation, Mila's phone quietly buzzed. She must've forgotten to put it on silent. The notification was a comment on her new fic. She decided to quickly check it under the desk before she silenced her phone, but-
"This is so cute!!!!!!! the kisses and the hugs are just so adorable and soft AUGGHH…. i loved it <333
i don't really understand the last few paragraphs, tho? who the heck is Mila??"
Mila's brain stopped working for a second.
What. what what what what what??
She quickly clicked on the fic and frantically scrolled all the way down to the end. She scanned the words and promptly turned bright red in horror.
Cora's fingers ran through Mila's hair, her skin silky and smooth despite the numerous scales lining it. Mila sighed, leaning into her lover's side as if there was no other place she'd rather be. Cora giggled lightly at the sound, pressing a soft peck on Mila's forehead. Mila cracked open an eye to take a peak at Cora's expression. Her smile seemed to outshine the sun, and Mila found herself mirroring it as she closed her eye again and let her beloved comb through her hair.
This couldn't be happening. Was Mila hallucinating? She had to be, because the alternative was so crushingly embarrassing Mila had to stop herself from hiding under the desk. She shakily silenced her phone and shoved it into her bag. She tried to focus on the lecture but the fic was haunting her every thought. The second it was over, she sprinted out of the room and ran straight to her house. As soon as she got inside, she took off her shoes and sat down at her desk. She edited out every single humiliating "typo" containing her name. She double and triple checked every single sentence, then checked them again just for good measure. She spent an hour agonizing over an apology she wrote in the author's note, praying people see it and then forget about the whole situation.
As Mila looked at the kudos, she realized one of them was from Cordelia. Mila realized what Cordelia meant by "making her day" and she promptly slammed her head into the desk and made mortified sound.
The next day, Mila invited Cordelia for breakfast in the local cafe. Mila clumsily offered to pay for Cordelia's food, as some sort of unspoken peace offering. They sat down at one of the tables, sipping on their drinks as Mila wondered how in the world she was supposed to explain that fic. Cordelia seemed to be enjoying her misery, as she hid a grin behind her mug.
Okay. Mila could do this. She just had to let Cordelia know that the typos were a honest mistake caused by the lack of sleep. Cordelia was always very understanding, so maybe this incident can just be forgotten. Forever.
Alright! Here it goes!
"So, uh. That fic. I uploaded last night."
"The fluffy one-shot?" Cordelia set her mug back on the table, stirring the remaining liquid with a spoon.
"Yeah. That. Um." Mila said, intelligently. The soft clanks of the spoon seemed louder than a bell being hit with a hammer. She prayed that Cordelia didn't notice how much Mila was sweating under her gaze.
"I saw that you edited it yesterday."
"Hahaha!! I sure did!!" Mila straightened out, squeezing the strap of her bag with a death grip as she laughed. Cordelia didn't react to Mila's nervousness, her eyes following the spoon casually. Mila wasn't sure if the lack of eye contact was making her less or more apprehensive. Mila took a moment to compose herself, then inhaled and bit the bullet.
"Look, I really didn't mean to write my name into the fic. It was really late and I wasn't thinking straight! I swear I didn't mean to do that!" Mila unconsciously leaned forward, tracking every change in Cordelia's expression. Cordelia didn't seem bothered.
"It was just a mistake, then?"
"Yes, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." Mila assured.
"It's alright. I guess seeing self-shipping content in the Sophira tag could be a bit concerning to other Sophira fans, but I'm not mad about it. Everyone makes a mistake every once in a while."
Mila blinked in confusion. Self-shipping?
"Don't worry, I won't hold it against you."Cordelia put her elbow on the counter as she rested her cheek on her hand. She looked up and met Mila's gaze, her face amused as she said: "I mean, who wouldn't want to be with a mermaid?"
…
…
…wait.
Oh god.
Cordelia thought Mila liked Cora the Character??? Not Cora the Person??? Oh god???
Mila wished she had the ability to teleport. She could disappear to the other side of the planet and start a new life, abandoning her past mistakes and starting fresh. Unfortunately, she did not develop magical abilities overnight and instead had to settle on hunching over her drink in a poor attempt to hide from the girl in front of her. "Right!!! YEah!! Self-shipping!! That's exactly it, haha!!"
Oh, Mila messed up. She messed up horribly. Terribly. Unbelievably. Did she just embarrass herself in front of Cordelia? Did Cordelia set her up for this? Did she know Mila liked her that way or was she just teasing her? What? What? What?
"In fact," Cordelia started, the anticipation in her voice snapping Mila out of her spiral, "I quite enjoy the idea after reading your fic. You keep continuing to surprise me." Her next words are spoken softly, like a secret just between the two of them: "Don't you, Sophia?"
To Cordelia's delight, the bright red blush spread all the way from the top of Mila's head all the way down her neck.
