Dream chose the former, partially because he'd rather be utterly humiliated than die, but mostly because the majority of Essempi's top generals are his friends, and Dream doesn't want them dead as well. Needless to say, it's been a stressful past two months, but that stress has only gotten worse since he arrived at the empire.

Sapnap sighs again. The coolant systems on the ship are broken, which means they've been spitting out cold air at an alarming rate. Sapnap shouldn't need to worry about this, mostly because it's not that cold, really, and he can handle being a bit chilly until they reach the next port and get it fixed.
