The Firework, a messenger for RB.

Favorite color is purple I have 1 sibling Blue eyes (not actually 100% sure, I just guessed because I couldn't tell,,) Favorite season is summer

Also already have some basics for them. They're an extremely frail slugcat to make flight easier, which has made them even lighter than Spearmaster. They can't do as many bomb jumps as Arti, since its mainly suppost to be used as a boost to start gliding.

I've been seeing this make a [random media] OC trend a lot so I decided to make my own version. With slugcats of course :]

I decided to remove it from the species since I wanted to make him much more plush like. Also made her a friend.

Stupid past me

So, a few years ago, when I was first getting in original species, one of the first ones I joined was kumas. And during the time I joined, theres was an myo event going on, allowing you to make a kuma and any of the sub species, of any rarity, as long as a pride flag was used in its color palette. I, at the time, had no idea how much more there was to the lgbtqia+ other than sexualities... which is why now these 2 things exist...

I do not know how I thought having smth like transgender as a character's sexuality was suppose to work,, Either way these 2 are on my redesign list, both to fix these errors, and to make their designs more interesting.

Artfight prep

With artfight around the corner, I've updated some of my ocs' art. Doing a bit more artfight prep before the fight, but either way I'm ready 🐀

First update was Mira since she was the second design I made digitally, and she hasn't been drawn by me since then even tho she's become important in my story,, Very happy with her redesign, def will draw her more after the fight.

Another much needed update, Mango. He was the third design I made digitally, and also hasn't been drawn by me since his creation despite him being as important as Mira story wise.

New ref for Glowie since the wings on their previous one looked awful,,

New ref for Ryoko since the old one was missing some updated info and was kinda bland.

Updated ref for Lucky, since I finally nailed down how to translate the way I draw him traditionally to digital (I drew him exactly the same way, just lineless now)

Updated ref for Fluffy since their ref was close age wise to Mango. Their design hasn't been changed since they came out fine the first time around.

Rain world ocs!!

Haven't poste in a while, but I return with many rain world rats and other creatures. Below will be spoilers ranging from mild base game spoilers to downpour's late game spoilers!!

Still here? Alright, ill start from who was created first, and end with those created later.

First one after Companion (now the previous yellow slugcat's name), the Venom eater! or Venom for short. Venom was Shallow River's last creation before she got infected with the rot. However, as she got infected while making Venom, it did somewhat pass onto them. Venom is able to keep the rot at bay by keeping their poison constantly fresh, which they do by eating spiders. If they go too many cycles without eating a spider, the poison patches on their back dry up, and their cycle count beings to drop. Once it hits the negatives, eating a spider will not save Venom, and they'll turn into a long legs upon dying. They're follow by an overseer who makes sure they can find spiders. Venom is unable to ascend. They suffer a similar fate to hunter when ascending, however, instead of returning to NSH, Venom just wakes up in their last shelter. Venom was created to seek out Companion and Collector after Companion went missing, tho SR is dead by the time they find Companion.

Next is the Collector. One of Shallow River's earlier creations, made to seek out pearls. Lot less about them as Collector ends up forgetting about their creator and just brings the pearls they find to a different iterator.

Next is the Cycle Skipper! A normal yeek created by Shallow River, transformed by the void sea. Whenever it jumps, it is teleported to a different cycle. It doesn't really have a goal, as it is an echo, it is stuck to wander the world for as long as it exists.

Next, the Imposter, or Glowbie. Another one of Shallow River's creations, her experimenting with hybrids. It has no real purpose, they just live with lampsters and prey upon anything living in the darkness. They end up becoming friends with Venom for a cycle, as both hadn't interacted with a slugcat before. However, as Venom isn't sure how to explain their illness to their new friend, nor do they want them to grieve, Venom leaves before Glowbie wakes up, leaving them behind. Glowbie's endings do give an option to follow after Venom, but they'll be a long legs by the time Glowbie finds them.

And lastly, Shallow River herself! An iterator who has stopped working on the great problem, and just works on enjoying her time. She loves creatures, mainly showing an interest in slugcats and lizards. And thats about it for now! Theres a few more rain world ocs ill be working on in the near future (noodle lizards and 2 slugcat x garbage worm hybrids), but ill be busy for a bit so theyll have to wait. First scugcat is done

Sooo I got into Rain World again recently since I finally got my hands on the game, and I am losing my mind I love this.. This time around I got invested enough to make my own story with some fan ocs, with this guy being the first one!!

They currently don't have a name, and its kinda hard to come up with one since their story is gonna contain a lot of other aquatic only slugcats,, Next rain world guys are either gonna be the other 2 important slugcats, the collector and venom eater, or the iterator that made em. Some of their story is in their toyhouse, but as it does go into the world a dat bit more, be wary of spoilers!

Rat gang

Very excited to rant about this group bc I adore them. The rat gang is a group of typically rodent-like jellis, lead by Tips.

(art and design by Seedsly on th) He started the group in good faith, after seeing Andromeda turn evil from his bulling (I'll talk about him at a later point, all you need to know is that he's a villain). He was disturbed by the fact nobody came to help the poor kid, so the group was created, along with his few buddies, as an ''anti-bullying'' group. The group grew a bit bigger over time since, and by present day, they've expanded to helping anyone they come across during their laps around the island. They're well known by the locals, and are welcomed into any village they enter into. Tho ofc when they started, most saw them as a group of trouble makers. They ran into issues with every village's guards, but sorted things out just fine. They still cause trouble for the guards, but at this point they even don't bother with the group as its only a waste of time (ex. they'll trespass to clean up litter or fetch smth that someone dropped; cause a bit of property damage to help if need be, ect). Also the only reason the group is called ''the rat gang'' is because that was what the locals started to call it, they just went around as a nameless group before then. With the group mostly consisting of rat noodles and rat like jellis, it was bound to end up with that name. Below is a link to all the members

Mango

alrighty im gonna rant about an oc ive been neglecting artwork wise since i created him, Mango

Gun and death mention warning (nothing too detailed)

While I havent drawn him since i created him back in 2020, he is one of my most developed ocs, for being such a 1 off without any thought behind him.

I created him first at school, getting the idea from a flower in my biology book. I cant really remember why I felt like I needed to created an oc based on the flower, or why I specifically created a flower dragon, but that was when he was born. I digitalized him later at home, with the above ref being what I created.

He first started off as non important, i wanted to sell him since I didn't really have an idea for him. He ofc didn't sell (I wasn't that good at art/designing, and the community I was in was more interested in furries than reptiles), so I tried again, making a story with him, Mira and my most beloved oc at the time, Malvin.

And that is what started him off. In the story, he appears near the end of the story, taking interest in the other 2. He introduces himself the same way they introduced each other, carving his name into the bark of a tree. While the other 2 were just confused about the creature in front of them, Mango was startled by noises that seemed to be coming towards them. He quickly pulled the seed on the tip of his tail off and buried it. As he patted the soil above the seed down, he was shoot by the humans that were chasing the other 2 previously, dying. While Malvin proceeded to mourn, shaking Mango to wake him up, Mira went to attack the humans, getting shoot in the wing. Malvin had enough, he took off his mask, and the humans collapsed. After a couple more minutes of trying to wake Mango up, the ground where Mango had buried the seed started to rise, and out came a smaller version of Mango, reborn.

And that's basically all the backstory Mango got. Ive since updated information about him in general; mainly regarding his species.

Now this is where the development mostly is. Mango is part of a species i made up called flower dragons, dragon like lizards that are made of fruit flesh, their key aspect, being able to be reborn. As shown in both Mango's backstory and the image above, flower dragons are able to be reborn as long as the seed on the tip of their tail is planted into soil. After a bit, the dragon will reform, tho as they go back to being a baby after being reborn, they are very vulnerable due to not having their new seed yet.

Best part about all this? The species is basically extinct in the world Mango is in, with him being the only member alive at the time of his appearance in the story. Luckily for him, flower dragons reproduce asexually, collecting the pollen of other flowers onto their wings. After they gathered enough pollen, pulling off a wing (removing the wings does not hurt) and planting it into the ground will cause a new flower dragon to be born. A flower dragon due to this also rarely look like their parent, as the appearance of the dragon is determined based on the pollen collected previously.

Thanks to this, Mango has increased the population by 3. He'd probably have made more progress if he wasn't so killable.

Anyway that's my rant about Mango over for now. Ill probably talk about him more if I ever make a dedicated post about Malvin. Im also probably gonna finally make him and Mira a new ref, Malvin has gotten 2 new refs, despite all 3 being created around the same time,,

Intro

Realized I should probably make a longer description on what ill be posting on this blog.

Ill mostly post about my ocs, either art I've made them, lore or just ranting about an oc. I have a lot of ocs part of the Jellinu species, so you'll probably be mainly seeing jelly dogs. Ill probably also post about my AU ocs aswell (RobotBoy and TADC).

No art criticism please! I do art as a hobby, I do it for fun and I prefer to learn how to improve on my own. Also as my name implies, I am very heavily tied with rats and rodents. Please block me if you have issues with either of them. 🐀
