public prank idea: walking into a mcdonalds and saying stuff like "all my units have been destroyed" and "I require additional energy to perform this action" but just completely dead pan and dead eyed standing motionless by the soda machine. a guy comes up and tries to be friendly and accommodating "is that from a game or something" faking a smile trying to humor me so I'll leave because everyone's starting to get uncomfortable. I pretend I can't see or hear him and keep repeating my lines til he leaves. An employee comes up and asks me to leave. I act like I can't hear or see her and keep repeating my lines. They call the cops and when they get here I get really scared and try to run. They grab me. I fight back. I'm being shocked. I feel pressure on my back and neck and sharp pain in my ribs. Then pain in places all over. Dull feeling on the back of my head and I fall asleep. I go to jail for 6 years and when I come out I'm never the same.

Harry Fonseca began his art career using imagery from his Native American Maidu heritage in his art. His Coyote Series of paintings started in 1979. These works use the coyote as the trickster of Maidu ancestral stories, depicted in nontraditional clothing and settings. In this painting Coyote is dressed in black leather and other aspects of queer-dress experienced by the artist in San Francisco, expressing Fonseca's personal narrative as a gay Native American living off-reservation.
