I've been thinking about Catra post-finale.

Her and Adora would spend countless years healing and working to right her wrongs. I think the initial getting back together would be the easy part- but then the rebuilding; the diplomacy dinners; the conversations with heads of government would start. Catra in clothes she isn't comfortable in discussing rebuild options for communities she personally oversaw the destruction of. Always having to stand at The Hero's hip during speeches and at parties. She would feel less-than in every conversation with Adora present.

Her past will follow her wherever she goes. Not only because you can't turn off mental illness with a switch, but kids still recoil at her touch when she visits previously Horde-occupied towns.

Yeah, they got a happy ending, but Catra will always have to live with what she did, both in her head and in the way people look at her.

Oh my god YEAH. I think while Gideon is more obvious about her emotions than Harrow, she's still refuses to be open about them. She's always trying her hardest to pretend like she doesn't care, like she has no skin in the game, yet she offers her life AGAIN for Harrow when things start going south?

I read Gideon as just being over it in NtN. She seems like she was really hoping the first time she died had to be the last- that her story could end in her Big Sacrifice to Harrow. But instead she has to wake up in Harrow's body and wish that she was there to profess her attraction to her. Instead she has to wake up in her dead body and hope that she can bring Harrow back from wherever she is. She wants so badly to finally give herself to Harrow but everything is getting in the way.

Now she's forced to come back again, just the same as before and with the same weaknesses. She cares too much and she wishes she didn't. She wishes she came back changed.

i think the thing about kiriona is that she would really love to have come back wrong. she's really trying to have come back wrong. she's heir to the emperor. she claims to just not particularly give a shit anymore. she snaps at people in a way that goes beyond her usual banter. she's really trying to look and act like someone who came back wrong.

but she didn't. she didn't and she doesn't know what to do with that. her impluse is to start unbuttoning her jacket for paul; she has to catch herself at the last second. she runs around looking for aiglamene, even though she has another goal, and she only starts masking with jokes again after she's certain aiglamene is safe.

she expected killing crux to feel good. it didn't feel good. why didn't it feel good?

gideon just has no idea how to come to terms with the fact that she came back fine and whole and just as emotional as she was before. idk i don't really know what my point is here i'm just going a little insane over the idea that gideon didn't come back wrong, but it would be so much easier for her if she had.
