I just had an moment where I was reading a dramatic moment in a fanfic and the music that was playing in the background just swelled at the right moment. I was literally shakened at the timing and had to blink back to reality like I was watching one of those climatic anime scenes.

generally I think people on here just wildly overestimate fandom's general pull on the world. I see so many posts that claim fandom has ruined society's general ability to understand media and guys, this is a niche hobby. the vast majority of people, even the majority of online youth, have never read a fanfiction. you only think fanfiction is that influential if you're constantly on The Fandom Website.

Giving everyone a status update. I'm going from my abrupt hiatus to a not-hiatus? I'm trying to get back into my stories by writing into other fandoms to kick start the ones that are in progress. Not working out unfortunately.

When I started writing my fanfics, I was mostly writing them for myself. There wasn't a thought of posting any of them at all. I actually spent a couple of years of just writing for pure self-indulgence until it occurred to me that I can post them.

So I'm going to go back to just writing into the void again. The current problem is that there's too many ideas being thrown around ironically enough. I work better hyper focusing on a few things than dream through too many plot bunnies bouncing through the fandoms.

I really want to finish out my current fics in progress but I also know that I would be faster to start and finish a new long fic. But at the same time, I love knowing my stories grew into something great to the point that I just absolutely had to share them with everyone.

All this is also why I changed my Tumblr name. I'm planning on bulldozing my way through this block and emcompass all my works into this single blog.

I am in a slump. I'm pretty sure I'm going through some burnout phase, but I'm getting back into writing again!

Literally IRL is killing my fic time. Whatever deity up there, send me a storm to cancel everything. I need time and inspiration.

More often than I would like, I would forego saving my fics on my computer. An untitled document with pages filled with thousands of words. It's an unspoken rule that you should save your documents like it's an old Pokémon game.

Sometimes, I would leave multiple of those unsaved documents for so long that my thing crashes. All that work gone.

I would be super frustrated. I would even cry a little depending how far I gotten. But most of the time, I would be frustrated because I was already frustrated from trying to wrangle my words onto the blank pages. All that painstaking progress just gone.

But then I would retype the words and suddenly everything is easier. All of it wasn't the same as before but I know that everything just flows better and makes sense. Like the stupid rough to final drafts that we never do in English class.

I like to take the risks of not saving and running my documents like I'm playing a jrpg on a Playstation without a memory card. I would never willingly let myself destroy my works because of the pain. But I feel like the pain of losing everything is what's needed to kick out the wall in my head.

After I stop feeling sorry for myself that is.

I just opened my Tumblr for the first time yesterday in a long time and sorry for the late reply.

Honestly, I have the last chapters planned out. The next chapter is pretty much done and the one after that is halfway there. It's just that irl stuff happened and work got really boggy for me to continue the mood of the genre. I was projecting and I needed to stop. But I'm trying to get myself out of a recent run I've been in and been thinking about rereading and revisiting that particular fic. I've been meaning to transfer my Naruto fics over to AO3 so hopefully that can get the ball rolling and fill in my rut.
