however, do you think that he’d be fond of OTHER bugs? Like, butterflies or lady bugs
I like the idea of this big, tough cowboy stopping to admire a pretty butterfly..
I have to imagine he'd be impressed by dragonflies or big butterflies. Anything large enough that he can see clearly how it's constructed. He worked in 2 kinds of aviation related fields and obviously has an association with bald eagles, so he would be fascinated by anything that can fly to some extent from an engineering perspective.
