Lucy: Evolution Disguised As Transhumanism For The Masses

This is not a topic that I usually write about, but it is becoming a very vital subject, especially to Christians, and I don’t want you to miss out. In just a few months, Hollywood is going to start pushing transhumanism harder than they ever have before. However, I must admit that I will be seeing the movies that I’m about to talk about. There are two reasons for that.

They look awesome.

They have Morgan Freeman.

I know Morgan Freeman isn’t a Christian, but I do enjoy him as an actor. 

However,  I’m also very aware that these movies are capitalizing on the current social and scientific trends, which happen to be evolution and transhumanism. The last time I wrote on this subject, I covered the movie Transcendence in my article, Transhumanism: The Scientific Pursuit of The Supernatural. 

With the recent release of the movie, it is a sure bet that we will see the discussion about transhumanism will become more prevalent in the media. Unfortunately, not enough Christian outlets will touch on the subject because of lack of knowledge. Right now I’m going to take a few moments just to analyze the surface “stuff”.

1. The Title – I’m sure it was no accident that the name “Lucy” also happens to be the same name shared by the ape scientists believe to be the beginning of the evolutionary tree.

2. Transhumanism – We know that this movie is about transhumanism because the main character (Scarlett Johansson) begins to evolve after some kind of drug bursts inside of her.

3. Ye Shall Become Like Gods – It was first said to Eve in the Garden of Eden and has since become a resounding theme throughout history. In the trailer we see that she learns how to rewind time or at the very minimum, her perception of it. I would not be surprised at all if there is a reference in the movie to her being a god or goddess.

The spiritual implications of transhumanism have deep roots that stretch all the way back to before Noah’s flood. In fact, it is part of the reason that God destroyed the world with a flood. Click here to read my 443 page book that discusses this subject and several more connected to it.

The Bigger Picture

Believe it or not, I’m not the “Illuminati is running Hollywood” guy. Many of you already know that about me. I think this is about the almighty dollar and I think its about politics. Yes, there is clearly an agenda. Everybody has one, just like I have an agenda in writing this entire article.

I personally believe that the bigger picture is to sway the public’s political opinions when it comes to the next stage of scientific research. I’m pretty sure they have been conducting these experiments for a while, but its only a matter of time until they run into religious or legal opposition, and that’s when it will boil down to public opinion.

This movie helps push the scientific and New Age ideology of “the next level of human evolution”, in which we transcend beyond what we are now. And of course, who doesn’t want to be better? That’s where the lie grabs us and takes hold onto the weakness of our flesh. I truly believe that it is this ambition to transcend that will lead people to accepting the mark of the beast.

If you’ve had a hard time understanding why people would knowingly accept something that would send them to hell, then pay attention to movies like Lucy. They make transcendence look cool to those without eyes to see. These are just my opinions on the matter and only time will tell exactly how it will play out.

Have a grateful heart. Give thanks in everything (Yes, even for the weakness). Be filled with gratitude in your life. Be filled with gratitude to everyone. Thanksgiving and love are powerful combinations that bring positive fractal attractors around us. I challenge you to be a thankful and love-filled person everyday to yourself and to everyone around you (plus all of nature and creation) for one year and see whether good things start circulating and happening around you.
