fluff/general
“how much did you drink?”
“aw, you’re so cute.”
“what did you do?”
“i asked if you were having a party. i didn’t tell you to have a party.”
“this is the opposite of what i told you to do.”
“well, it’s the thought that counts.”
“wait, no, don’t take kissing away from me.”
“okay, where are all my jumpers?”
“oh, you’ve started stealing my socks now?”
“yeah, okay, but i’m cooler.”
“you owe me a kiss.”
“how did you get in here?”
“for starters, that’s impossible.”
“how did you fail a survey?”
“yeah, well, if you weren’t so drunk maybe i would.”
“that’s not even fair.”
“you promised me a cookie!”
“did i ever tell you how beautiful your eyes are?”
“ew, that is so sappy, i might vomit.”
“i’m not playing truth or dare.”
“you’re not very intimidating.”
“i love you.”
“well the probability of that is 0, but you go ahead.”
“that was, by far, the stupidest thing you’ve ever done.”
“why don’t you take a picture? it’ll last longer.”
“maybe not.”
“why the hell is there glitter everywhere?”
“well, i’m pretty irresistible.”
“how much money would you give me to flip this table, right here, right now, in the middle of class?”
“detention? again?”
angst
“why don’t you just go?”
“no, it’s not like that.”
“if you cared about me, you wouldn’t do this.”
“it doesn’t matter anymore.”
“what’s the point?”
“fuck you.”
“you should’ve said that yesterday.”
“don’t lie to me.”
“i swear, if you say another word, i’ll leave.”
“change in mind or change in heart?”
“it’s over, it’s done, just leave it be.”
“why do you keep bringing it up?”
“we can’t go back in time, so stop trying to reverse what you said.”
“you say you’ll stop, but then you keep doing it!”
“maybe in another world.”
“why are you like this?”
“stop making empty promises!”
“what about us?”
“don’t say that.”
“i’m done. we’re done.”’

Pen Dips - A Daily Writing Schedule for the Month of October (A.K.A. An Alternative to Inktober Because You Don’t Want to Draw Every Day)
Write at least a 300-word response to the designated suggestion every day. Post your responses on Tumblr! Share with the community; encourage productivity for this lovely month! Choose different characters, or make your own in the process of it. Enjoy, fellow authors!
1) Choose a character. What do they smell like? (If you do not fulfill the 300-word count, add another character in!)
2) Choose a location, be it fictional or real, from your own imagination or from another’s. Wait until you are hungry. Then, describe the most stereotypical yet high-quality meal that place could possibly provide.
3) Prompt: your character is now a vengeful wraith.
4) Change the genre of your current story, or a story that you are currently reading/watching. Make it as humorous as possible.
5) How does your character walk? What do their footsteps sound like?
6) You are forced to clasp onto your character’s hands. The reason why is a scenario for you to figure out. What do their hands feel like?
7) The most important location in your world has just been destroyed. What happens?
8) Begin your story with this sentence: “It wasn’t my fault.”
9) Your character is humorously upset over something entirely unimportant. What is it, and how do others react? How out-of-hand does the situation become?
10) Begin your story with this sentence: “Spit that out.”
11) Capture a moment of utter peace in the autumn afternoon.
12) Your character has been handed a child that looks nothing like them, but everyone insists that it is their child.
13) A child wanders into a pumpkin field and meets a peculiar fellow. What happens?
14) Your character has become bound to an enchanted forest by a witch. They cannot leave. What happens?
15) Your character’s soul has been bound to a cat via a curse. What happens?
16) Your character has just obtained the one thing that they’ve always wanted. What changes?
17) Your character has just become a tyrannical dictator of your story. What happens?
18) Create an original vampiric character. They can be any race, gender, religion, fantasy creature, vegetational entity, etc. Introduce them as you would in a beginning of a story.
19) A werewolf is running rabid in a lone town. What happens?
20) Begin your story with this sentence: “I can’t feel my legs.”
21) Prompt: There are stairs. An endless, winding well of stairs, going up and up and up. And I can’t get out.
22) A witch has granted your character a single potion of their choosing. What will they choose?
23) Prompt: a baking disaster involving autumn foods.
24) Prompt: There is something hidden below that massive pile of leaves.
25) Prompt: It is not water falling out of those clouds.
26) Choose a character. What feature of theirs do they express the most emotion through? The eyes? The hands? The lips?
27) Your character’s form begins to flake away, like dead leaves off of a tree. What is happening?
28) A small black cat is now under the ownership of your main character. Write this encounter through the cat’s point of view.
29) Hot, pumpkin-flavored tea can make others feel a bit hotter than they’re wont to be. Write a romance scene involving pumpkin-flavored beverages.
30) The entire landscape of your main town has been transformed. In what way? How do the characters react?
31) Your main villain is given a single candy. They do not know who it is from. What happens?

Tips for Writing Fight Scenes
I write tons of fight scenes and they seem to go over well so I thought I’d share how I go about creating a successful fight scene! Examples of my stuff: here’s a pretty typical one, and here’s a longer, gorier one.
The most important thing is TENSION. You must create the sense that your character is in real danger. Without this, the scene will fail.
Your character’s chances of winning need to be even or worse—or, if they have an advantage, something needs to happen during the fight to change this.
They have to take some hits.
Keep your character’s moves mundane and fallible. No cleaving someone in two with a single strike or turning an entire platoon to ashes with a few gestures. Stick with blows that might get blocked, or spells that are rushed or sloppy, things like that.
A great trick is to have something inglorious happen to your character. They trip over a frightened cat and fall on their ass. Their sword gets stuck fast in a wooden beam. They blow up a bag of flour and it explodes in their face. This does wonders for yanking them down to our level and making the situation feel much more real and immediate.
Fight scenes have to go fast to maintain momentum. There should always be something happening to your character—they’re fighting an enemy, or an enemy is running toward them, or an enemy is hurting their friend and they’re running toward their friend, etc. If they do get a breather, keep it short.
A note: you might be tempted to show off your character by having them do their Super Badass Final Move of Ultimate Destruction to wrap the scene up and kill the bad guy. Try to resist. Having your character pull out a Super Badass Move to win the day is a great way to kill tension and disappoint your readers, as it undermines the first point above. When your character wins, it should generally be by either 1) cleverness, i.e. outmaneuvering the opponent; or 2) extraordinary fortitude, i.e. outlasting the opponent. (The latter will be disappointing if there is not some meaning behind the fortitude, because if they’re just straight up strong enough to beat their enemy, then that also kills the tension.) And the victory, needless to say, should be a close one. (If the Super Badass Move has to happen because of plot reasons, then build the scene around that, not the rest of the fight.)
Now for the actual writing. One word here: DETAILS! Your fight scene lives and dies on details. Compare:
The soldier dashed up to her. His shield blocked her first strike, and she made a quick dodge, his axe narrowly missing her. Her second strike pierced his neck, and he crumpled.
To…
The soldier dashed up to her. She hacked down at his neck, but her sword bounced off his raised buckler. He swept his axe up at her side, and she arched away from it, stepping into her next thrust. The tip of her sword pierced the chainmail at the man’s throat, and bright blood gushed over her blade. As his body crumpled, she yanked her weapon back.
Tell us exactly what the fighters are doing. It’s VERY helpful to be aware of where their weapons are, which way they’re facing, where their limbs are, etc. at every moment. Especially because that will make it much easier to write the scene! When you know where the weapons are, you know where they can go next! This is the big secret of how I write fight scenes so fast! These intricacies will also allow your reader to visualize the scene. One of my commenters called it “like a movie.” That’s what you’re aiming for—for your readers to be able to follow the scene effortlessly, like it’s playing in their heads instead of them having to cobble it together themselves.
As I mentioned above, fight scenes have to go fast. Too many adjectives or descriptive clauses will bog the scene down and hurt your momentum. So verbs are extremely important here. Look at the ones I used above: hacked, bounced, swept, arched, pierced, gushed, yanked. Choose verbs that are physical and dynamic, with strong images/connotations associated with them. As always, try to avoid repeating yourself too much.
One more thing: your character may be totally focused on fighting, but you still want to keep the reader invested in them. I admit my example above was pretty impersonal, so let’s see if I can touch it up a bit…
Yet another soldier dashed up to her, and she grimaced, readying herself. As he entered her range she hacked down at his neck, but her sword bounced off his raised buckler, jarring her arm. Motion at the lower edge of her vision—he swept his axe up at her side, and she arched away from it. Too close. She stepped into her next thrust, twisting from the hip, and a thrill of savage triumph ran through her as her sword pierced the chainmail at his throat. Bright blood gushed over her blade and onto her gauntlets. As his body crumpled, she yanked her weapon back, heaving a quiet sigh at the gore accumulating on the once-shining steel.
Feed in some of what the character feels (a thrill of savage triumph ran through her) as well as what they sense or notice (motion at the lower edge of her vision), what happens to them (blood gushed onto her gauntlets), and even an interjected thought or two (too close).
Some realism also makes the scene more immediate. Armor can stop a blow, for instance. Not all fights are clashing blades—foot-stomping and straight-up punching and other such things do damage too. If your character sticks their weapon in a person, they will have to get the weapon out. Things like that.
Optional and not always possible, but setting your fight scene in an interesting environment, or giving your character some sort of penalty, gives you a lot more to write about in the scene and also usually makes it more compelling because of the added variable. Some examples here.
Also optional: I favor present tense for fight scenes over past tense. I think it’s better for tension, because it gives more of a sense that the outcome is as yet undecided.
Ok this is too huge already so I’ll leave it here. (sorry for any typos, I had an exam today and my brain is deceased)
Good luck and have fun! If you have any questions for me go right ahead and message me :’)

Imagine your OTP sleeping in the same bed. Do they cuddle all night or do they sleep away from each other? Which one has tons and tons of blanket and which has 1? Does one have more pillows than the other, how many? Do they fall asleep at the same time or not? Does one try to steal the blankets off the other throughout the night? Which one has nightmares and wakes up to see the other and is comforted just by them being near?

PSA Concept One-Shots Ezme+Lucas
“Those servant pants really bring out a person’s ass don’t they?” Lucas stood over Ezme as he tucked in various throwing daggers into his garments.
“Lucas, I swear to Lords I’ll give your name to the Peace Guards after he’s dead.” Ezme finally managed to place his last blade inside the garments without them sticking out or poking at him. “Who ever made these uniforms so tight can go to hell.”
“Really Emmy? Your tank top leaves nothing to the imagination, not that I’m complaining mind you.”
Ezme sighed, tugging at his collar. “At least that top can stop a knife, this shit is perfect to die in.” He looked back up at Lucas who had a bored expression on his face before realizing the eye contact.
“Emmy?” whispered Lucas. Ezme kept the gaze for a moment before raising his hand to cup his chin. He scowled. “What is it?” Lucas chuckled nervously at the mage, “Do you ever smile?”
“Actually that’s exactly it,” answered Ezme. “I have to make sure my smile isn’t noticeably fake, these targets are guarded by elites.”
Lucas crossed his arms, shaking his head while grinning. “Only you would take smiling as an assassination strategy.”
Ezme flung a knife that shrieked beside Lucas’ head. Lucas chuckled, not a single golden lock was displaced. “Touchy,” he uncrossed his arms “but you might be right, these guys would feel something was off before you’d even reach the table.”
Ezme faced Lucas straight on again. “How’s this?” Before Lucas could question, Ezme gave a soft smile defining his one dimple, lips parting only briefly to reveal white teeth before merging back together to form a full grin. His eyelids closed softly and a small tilt of his head amplified his honeyed expression.
Lucas hadn’t said a word, eyes taking in the sudden change in Ezme’s face, an olive complexion usually clad with seriousness reverted back to boyishness and innocence. He hadn’t realized Ezme had stopped his act to look at him for answers.
“Lucas?” Ezme said, “You’re burning up.”
“Uh, Oh! Yeah that’s- that was perfect, yeah!” Lucas tried to smile back to convince Ezme, who seemed more interested by the poisoned petal that kept shifting from its sleeve.
“That reminds me, I need you to keep this.” Ezme walked to the rack where the servants’ clothes originated from. There he retrieved the viridian scarf he laid aside before blinking his original clothing away to put on the disguise. “Keep my scarf with you at all times, we’ll have to leave quickly.”
Lucas took the long fabric in his hands, questioning Ezme’s purpose. “Isn’t it better to just blink it into your Garden Gate?”
“Lucas,” Ezme’s eyes didn’t waver in their determination when staring into Lucas’. “You know what this scarf is to me, and I know I can count on you for this shit, I mean you’re here instead of Sapphire.”
Lucas cocked a brow, “Well she is on her own mission.”
“Point,” said Ezme “Besides the fact, that scarf is the only object I can’t blink away.”
“Alright.” said Lucas. “Just get in there and finish this so that I might be able to get more than five hours of sleep.”
Lucas watched as Ezme fixed the cover onto his head and went towards the servants quarters. He leaned against the wall, wrapping the scarf around his neck. Damn, it even smells like Ezme.
“Well that could have went better. You might have well just shot swords from your gates since you didn’t even try to use the poison.” said Lucas. He was grinning at Ezme as he stumbled into the meet up location.
“Oh fuck you.” Ezme slumped to the ground, grimacing as a blade continued poking at him. He blinked his clothes, a flurry of black rose petals glittered away to reveal Ezme back into his regular clothing.
“When and where? Hopefully soon, because your angry face is just as red as I can make you with a kiss.”
Ezme rose quickly and slammed his hand on the wall just behind Lucas’ head. Lucas gasped, staring into Ezme’s eyes that took on a feverish look, his lips were in a soft grin, reaching closer to Lucas’ who parted his own to question Ezme. But no words came out as Ezme nearly pressed there lips together, his breathe sending shivers throughout his warm skin. His heart pounded in his ears.
“Ez-” Lucas choked on his name.
“I’ll be taking this now.” whispered Ezme. Lucas gulped at his words and gasped at the fabric being pulled away from his neck. Ezme held his scarf, and walked away as he draped it on himself. “Let’s get going.” Ezme walked, never looking back at a sputtering and fidgeting Lucas as he smiled to himself.

“Looks like we have to cuddle” said Lucas. He dropped the duffel strapped hung across his shoulder. It landed next to the single chest whose shelves could barely open cramped up against the foot of the bed. Ezme nudged past him igniting a lamp to flash the light over the two pillows and sheets lying on the splintered chest.
“Just take the bed, I'll sleep on the floor.” Ezme dropped a pillow on the narrow piece of floor not taken up by the two pieces of furniture. He slid out of his beast hide jacket before tugging at his sleeveless tactical shirt, its silver color seeming ghostly in the dim light. Standing half naked, the lamp drew dancing shapes of darkness over Ezme’s soft features, his emerald eyes’ golden imperfections were accented when he looked to Lucas. “There's space for you to get in you know.” Ezme reached his hand towards a folded sheet on top of the covers before feeling a palm force into his side. His face buried into the mattress. “The fuck, Lucas?” he growled trying to pick himself up.
Lucas crouched to pick up the pillow, throwing it at Ezme who blocked it with his arm. “You hate small spaces,” said Lucas softly, he turned to dim the lamp. Ezme held his mouth open without pronouncing a word quickly glancing at Lucas whose face became concealed by shadow. But his golden locks caught Ezme’s stare, like a halo crowning a subject to be admired. Ezme looked back down.
“Fine,” He moved to the beds edge pressed against the wall, pulling the pillow up without turning back to Lucas. “Just snore away from my ear.” Soft thuds on the floor indicated Lucas taking off his own garments. Ezme then felt the mattress creek under the added wait, his own body being pulled to Lucas’. He wondered if he forced a smile on Lucas’ lips now blushing at the image. Ezme shut his eyes hoping to sleep and get rid of the nagging thought. Maybe he’ll smile in a dream. The warmth from Lucas made its way to him. They slept.
“I'm sorry.”
Lucas cracked open his eyes, disoriented at the strange room. A thrashing at his side took away his drowsiness when an elbow connected with his ribs. “Ow! Damn it Ezme what's-"
“I'm sorry-sor, please.” His limbs contracted and twitched. Ezme was facing Lucas, eyes clenched tight in sleep and breath coming in random bursts of chilling fever into Lucas's skin. “Please not again, n-no.” Lucas pulled off the covers to expose them both before reaching to pin Ezme. His hands gripped the smaller mage’s wrists but struggled to keep them from thrashing without causing bruises.
“Wake up Ezme!” Lucas half growled his commands. “Come back!” Ezme stopped speaking. His eyes shot open, once green gems with flakes of golden leaves were eclipsed by pupils of obsidian. His breathing became pants of a wounded animal. He pulled at the hands gripping him trying to escape. Breathless yells were growls.
“Emerald!” Lucas strained to pin him against the mattress, wrapping his arms around his torso and arms. Ezme eased his struggles until laying limp. Lucas brought him up to sit, placing his hands to support Ezme's head. He stared into his eyes, glimmering from unshed tears then looked at the rest of his face. From his feathered hair to the scar still present on his left jawline. He kept staring before jumping at the sudden warmness of arms at his waist. Ezme brought Lucas closer with the hug, unwilling to let go.
Lucas lowered Ezme back onto the bed, letting Ezme's head rest in the crevice of his chest and collar bone. He fell asleep instantly, maybe he was never truly awake guessed Lucas. He pulled the covers back onto the two of them with a free hand before placing it back around Ezme. Damn the man that made you, Ezme. It was Lucas’ turn to tear up, frustration welling up with each shudder made by Ezme.

Since it’s hard to recommend recent (~for the past 12 years) comics with Scaret Witch (because most of them are abominable and confusing), and i couldn’t find any coherent reading order (for over 1200 appearances, ha!), so, many months ago, i decided to compile mine because i’m awesome i thought that the best place to start your acquaintance with Wanda Maximoff would be the very beginning.
So here it is, the reading order for 60s and 70s (i’m slowly working on other decades as well) and the reading order guide (where i’ve tried to briefly describe all issues she appeared in):  → download link for the guide
NB! the guide contains spoilers for the stories and probably some minor mistakes that i tried to eliminate best i could. All you need to know is:
bold issues = important to Wanda’s storytelling and/or personality, a must read;
italic issues = contain some interesting panels and/or information, worth looking through;
simple issues = show Wanda briefly, can be skipped.

Phoenix Scale: New Embers - Character Bios (on Wattpad) https://my.w.tt/dSgMqtkEOK Tensions rise on the continent Vengarra, 17 year old Celina Liona hopes for a fresh start in a city of magick. Joined by her friend Roy, the esteemed Phoenix Scale Academy for mages in the desert oasis of Salvablanca appears to be the salvation they need in order to study their craft without persecution. But Phoenix Scale brings its own challenges. Placed under the guidance of a young mage prodigy known only as Ezme, the two teens are thrust into arenas within the halls of school itself and magickal athletics to earn a spot upon the elite hierarchy. Even worse, hate crimes and corruption surrounds the academy, serving as connections to a rumored anti-mage cult. Once again Celina faces the dangers that took away her home. Now she must decide to face her shadows while Ezme's own past sets its eyes on her and Roy. When the risk becomes death, will Celina and Roy choose to fight on the side of magick? Or will they accept the genocide of all magecraft?
