     tension quickly deflates from her shoulders as soon as the woman confirms that percy is with them.   bright eyes follow her gaze towards the tent where her brother is resting,  the urge rising to go and check for herself.   yet her body doesn't respond to the command,  exhaustion digging its nails into her limbs and trying to drag her back down.   her head is slowly beginning to spin the longer she's upright,  and cassandra puts a hand to her forehead to support herself on.   there is a moment of pause before she responds,   ❝   lady cassandra johanna von musel klossowski de rolo.   ❞   she sounds like percy,  which makes her cringe,  but she barely thought about the answer before saying it.   her parents' voices echoed through her already cacophonous thoughts,  reminding her of her stature,  of the times she stood and smiled politely at innumerable dinners and balls.   ❝   just... just cassandra is fine.  ❞   she tacks on after.   the warden's surname,  cousland,  rings a distant bell but she isn't able to follow the thread any further for the moment.   something to keep in mind.   cassandra sweeps over her armor,  well kept but with obvious signs of battle,  lips gently parting in surprise.   of course she had heard of the grey wardens but as the stuff of fairytales;   the kind of stories julius and vesper told when the twins refused to go to bed on time.   ❝   i did not know the grey wardens were still around.   ❞

beatrize is surprised the woman is alert and coherent at all. she hit her head pretty hard and was barely conscious when they found her. the warden doesn't know what it is she's running from, but it's not like she can abandon her by the side of the road. morrigan, with her usual mistrust of strangers, had warned them against taking the pair in and bringing them to camp, but she had been outvoted three to one; leliana and alistair agreed to help. “ he's here, but he's hurt worse than you. ” an arrow lodged itself in his shoulder. beatrize stifled the bleeding as much as she could with the remaining poultice she carried in her pack. it's a temporary fix that proved crucial until they had access to more supplies. “ wynne managed to patch him up. he's resting in that tent over there. ” alistair's tent. the warden stares at it for a moment longer before shifting her gaze back to the woman. “ my name is beatrize cousland. i am a grey warden. ” it seems to her that introductions are called for, if they were to host their guests until they're recovered. “ do you have a name for me? ”
