True, but also consider that only a few rich kids actually choose art. And of those who do, an even smaller percentage is actually good. The reason why we see so many rich kids doing art is because they had the money to study, to exercise, and to advertise their work. In reality, only a few people on Earth actually understand and choose art, and even fewer are actually good at protraying something (there's no such thing as objectively good art, but there are some kinds of production that really don't give off anything to most people). So while it is true that Art should NOT be locked behind a paywall, we're severely overstimating how much people even care for art. I mean, in the Soviet Union Art wasn't only for rich kids, but the leadership simply did not give a shit about it, unless it was useful for propaganda. So, left to themselves, humans would probably largely ignore art: even today we can observe that the only kind of art that is widely appreciated and not limited to a few intellectuals is the one with a lot of money in it (pop music, books written to appease a certain public, movies of a popular franchise made to squeeze money out of the fans).
