Taylor Swift makes good music. I think she is a good songwriter. I was really into her music for a little while, but now I just can't separate her music from her climate terrorism and just generally being an emblem of consumerism.

I don't think she's the root of all evil, and I am glad she got the rights to her albums back. That's a win for musicians everywhere.

But she's not just a musician, she is a public figure. She's a billionaire. And there is NO ETHICAL WAY to be a billionaire. That insane sum of money is not "girlboss"

Evermore will always be her best album and it's mostly because of Aaron Dessner's influence okay let the wolves take me now

I interpret "Strange News from Another Star" as Damon saying he doesn't want to subject himself to the restrictions a 'normal' life. Lots of people think this song is about heroin and I agree but in a broader sense it's about freedom. Getting sober is submitting to authority. The "death star" looming over. People always talk about getting sober as freeing yourself, but in this song, freedom looks like the ability to indulge in whatever shallow pleasures you want. Crazy people on the street with their guns and meat are free. They are living by their own rules on their own star. That's what I love about that song
