Life update: I'm alive everyone!!! It's been very bad lately (no doubt will get worse if the government doesn't agree with the people's demands in the next 3 days) but I'm alive :)

Dude interviewed for a job today 100% didn’t get it because of how much he talked about ai.

We are interviewing for a software engineer/ engineering manager. When presented with questions about how to navigate problems, almost every single one of his answers were ‘oh use ai to fix it’.

Now dont get me wrong, this dude is super smart and very very skilled. But not a single person was impressed by his unwillingness to elaborate details on how to fix issues. And instead his focus of using three different ai programs to fix issues.

And on top of that, the entire team’s feedback was ‘I dont really want to have him as a manager because I dont want to be forced to use chatgpt every day’
