look back ramble...

there's honestly so much to unpack from the movie but i want to tackle on the characters... i really really love the way they were written, both are artists with similar goals yet completely different at the same time. fujino being the artist who has a burning passion to show the world how creative she is, while there's kyomoto who really appreciates art and simply draws for fun. eventually fujino started going through burnout along with kyomoto who began taking art seriously. both of their characteristics are completely opposite yet sown together at the same time, like a parallel, they have great ambitions but they both have aspects that lack from each other, which completely summarizes what's it like to be an artist. at first, ideas can bring great impact onto people when you have the initiative to artistically bring it to life, (which was fujino's initial goal in art, to earn praise. after all, what is the meaning of art if not shown or appreciated by the world?) eventually she learns that art is not just appreciated by the idea, but also when it looks appealing to other people, so she began to go on the next level by really bringing herself to study art, at the end, she could not draw as "good" as kyomoto, meanwhile kyomoto aimlessy draws, while she may have no goal in mind, she uses drawing as an outlet for fulfilling her wellbeing, thus having the capability to ENJOY art... but also sacrificing your social life for it... while their artistic characteristics may have their weaknesses, the other will give strength to it, which is a great representation of the mind of an artist, you cannot enjoy art if you are too fixated on the expectations you give onto yourself when disregarding the progress you'll need to go through in order to grow i'll add more to this ramble soon...

by me, a fool who doesnt wanna die anymore 

never make a suicide joke again. yes this includes “i wanna die” as a figure of speech. swear off of it. actually make an effort to change how you think about things.

find something to compliment someone for at least 4 times a day. notice the little things about the world that make you happy, and use that to make other people happy.

talk to people. initiate conversation as often as you possibly can. keep your mind busy and you wont have to worry anymore

picture the bad intrusive thoughts in youe head as an edgy 13 year old and tell them to go be emo somewhere else

if someone makes you feel bad most of the time, stop talking to them. making yourself hang out with people who drain you is self harm. stop it.

hello neighbor 💓

over the past seven years, i've had the privilege of living at a house of queer chosen family, which we call "the chrysalis." i produced nearly the entire soundtrack for SLARPG while living in this space; it's the biggest reason my work has been made possible, and it's also been an invaluable space for my own personal healing from complex PTSD.

today we called a plumber to address a leak in our bathroom and get a general inspection, and through that inspection we discovered that our main toilet and water heater urgently need replacing.

the estimated price for these repairs is in the neighborhood of $5,000; we're hoping to get at least half of those costs covered.

as a household of neurodivergent queers, our collective income has always been pretty modest. with the success of SLARPG i've been able to help with expenses, but it's honestly a feat that we've managed to hold on to this space for as long as we have. given that, any amount of help would make a huge difference for us.

please understand that i share this with the absolute recognition that in 2024, there are other people who need help more than we do. if you only have the funds to donate to more pressing causes, please direct your aid where it's needed most first.
