Once they were done they stacked up the dishes in the sink, two plates and two sets of cutlery instead of one. Kim Roksoo plopped down on the couch and dragged out the laundry basket he’d gotten from the dryer in the basement of his apartment the other day. His younger self watched him as he started folding them up. “They’re all wrinkly.” “That’s because they got tossed back and forth in the dryer.” “Shouldn’t you iron it first? So that it’s all, mn, neat and smooth— like I see with the office ahjussis." “They’ll get wrinkled again anyway once I fold them up,” he sighed as he placed down a folded dress shirt on the couch, intending to start a stack. “So I just fold them once they’re dry, and when I actually need them I iron them before wearing them, like in the morning before work.” “Ohh,” he replied, sounding a bit like he was in awe. “Okay, that makes sense. I’ll help you now,”

It's always Kim!Cale and Og!Cale. Nobody talks about my man, Barrow!Cale. They all call him a Radish, white Shit or just Barrow.

I was thinking nonsense like I always do. And today, another random thought popped into my head.

In the Wind Island test, when Cale lost everything and wanted to escape, he jumped out the window. By doing that, he was able to escape the hell where his family was no longer alive. 💔

I have a feeling that, because of that incident, he kind of started thinking—deep down—that if his family is in danger, then maybe sacrificing himself will somehow fix everything.

And GoD’s letter didn’t help at all. It basically said that if Cale had died in the past, his hyungs would still be alive.

I know he was already the self-sacrificing type because of everything he went through as Kim Roksoo. But he was getting better after becoming Cale!

Then that test, and GoD’s letter, probably ruined all the progress he’d made. I feel like his tendency to sacrifice himself only got worse after that. Before that, the only time I remember him really doing that was during the Battle of the Gorge (if I’m remembering right).

Maybe I’m just overthinking it. Maybe it doesn’t even make sense. But I can’t stop thinking about it. He’s always been willing to throw himself in danger, but it feels like it’s gotten worse after that damn test.
