Customer Rates
The middle 60% of Studio Owners makes $97,730, with the top 80% making $187,200. So basing this off of the top 80% charging a higher price with £300 being the average price used we can gather that smaller may be around £80. Now this is me using lack of industry knowledge and taking in info I found online through different sources. So lets say were are using a big music studio it would cost people £300. So to calculate how many customers they may make on a weekly basis I will do ths - 187,200 / 12 / 4 / 300 = 13 which means they get around 13 customers per week. This doesn’t sound that correct so instead I’ll drop the price to £200.
187,200 / 12 / 4 / 200 = 19.5 (Rounded) = 20 which is 7 more which aint too bad.
With then the middle studio making $97,730, so $97,730 / 12 / 14 / 80 = 25 Which means there are 25 customers a week for a mid range studio charging £80

Utilities
The average utility prices for a music studio go to around £200- £400 per month, which means if we divide this by 4 it would be £50- £100 which is our weekly utility!

Rent
Region                                          Average annual cost per square metre
London (West End)                     £14,355
Glasgow                                       £2,340
London (City)                               £1,898
Edinburgh                                    £1,609
Manchester                                  £1,545
Leeds                                           £1,355
Birmingham                                  £1,139
Cardiff                                          £1,030

So, for an average cost for rent (Per Square Metre) is around 3,158. So if we had a 3,000 square feet store which converted is 300 Square Metres. So if we do 3,158 x 300, it would equal 947,400 But that is anually so if we divide it by 12 it gives us 78,950 and then to get a weekly cost we divide by 4 which gives us 19,737.5 which would be our weekly cost of rent.
UPDATE
A music studio is around (For a large room) Post prod editing etc. - 30 sq m Rock band live room - 70 sq m With these added together as 100 sq m converted to s.f. this makes it 1076s.f which then means it would be a half as large a the “Main Street Retailer” 100 x 3,158 = 315,800 / 12 / 4 = 6,579
Now what confuses me is that I start looking at places to rent for a music studio and this is what I found “Huntsman Lansdowne House – £4,800 + VAT per monthWillesden Suite 1 – £1150 + VAT per monthRockonia Studio 1 – £2,500 + VAT per month“ Which makes the cheapest weekly expensive £287.5, the middle costing one cositng £625 and then the most expensive £1,200.
Which makes the calculations seem outrageous, I am unsure where I messed up but I will work with the figures offered to me when seeing where I can rent
