Was talking with @oathborngt more about his character Herne and my boi Reese, and how Herne can be scary to him ghnghg. The little concept came up of Reese teasing Herne too much, to the point where he retaliates and ends up spooking Reese enough to put a glass over him. Oath compared Herne to being like an agitated wasp or hornet, which sounds quite scary!!

Reese will let him back out, he just wants to try and reason with Herne first before doing so. ;w; Though… it’s gonna be hard with a language barrier, which Reese has kinda forgotten about for a moment. 😅 But Herne will end up letting him off easy this time…

I came across a complication of clips from old vlog-like videos with Ian and Antony from SMOSH, and while I never actually watched their skit videos much, I thought I’d maybe find an interaction in one of the clips that would fit with Donald and Reese. Sure enough, a clip came on where the two of them are about to eat some pizza. Antony opens the box, only to stop mid-sentence and notice that a slice is already gone. And the audio that you hear is the rest.

Originally it only features the two people which is Ian and Antony, but I thought it’d be funny if I added in @toothpaste-dragon’s character Cricket to give Reese someone to try and put the blame on! I don’t think Donald’s going to buy it though… 😂

Also I keep ending up switching the styles of the eyes sometimes when I do animations. 😅 I mean, I know that it can be done on purpose for effect, but… I usually don’t do it intentionally. Oh well. 🙃

Characters I designed not too long ago ❤️ I’m not sure how active I’ll be with them since my focus is on other ocs but I’m very fond of them regardless. They’re friends with a brother and sister dynamic.

🍁 Hickory (16) is extremely curious and super friendly, and a total smart aleck. He can be callous sometimes with his words, but ultimately is good hearted. Enjoys pulling a clever prank, which tend to be pretty harmless.

❄️ Holly (20) super sweet and pretty emotive but will still call people out when necessary. Some things she enjoys are reading, sports (esp volleyball), baking, and ice skating (One of her favorite things to do is create handmade dolls and knows some sewing). December is her favorite month, and Hickory joins her in lots of decorating and baking. 🍪 🧁 🎄

📖 Backstory: Holly (11-12) was lost in the woods one afternoon, and when the evening came started to cry. Of the fairies that were watching, Hickory (7-8) was the only one brave enough to go see what was wrong. He stayed with Holly, helping her while they chatted the whole way until she found her way home. A few days later Holly is back in the woods calling loudly for Hickory. The yelling was eventually too much for the fairies so they got Hickory and booted him out to deal with it.

I've been wanting to draw this for a very long time and finally managed something decent! Inspired by the incredible photo below the cut, Donald takes a sip of hot cocoa while Cricket sneaks a bite of bagel from within Donald's coat. For these two, sharing treats in public often means being subtle about it, but it seems they've figured out a good system!

Last song 🎧: Ocean of Emotion from Help! I'm a Fish. Discovered it around 2 years ago and was obsessed...it's one of my favorite love songs of all time. Shoutout to The Other Side from The Greatest Showman, just before.

Favorite Color 🎨 : I love all colors, when they're applied in a nice way! I feel most comfortable, or "me" wearing black or red. I love soft, in the brighter range colors on walls, particularly yellow, blue, green or pink. Orange, yellow and pink is my favorite color combination. Purple might objectively be the best color imo, though!

Last Book 📕: I'm currently reading through Atomic Habits and Breath. Atomic Habits is understanding how bad and good habits happen and gives solid advice in making good habits appealing and easy, and Breath basically gets into detail in how proper breathing gives longevity and how modern society royally screwed it up (there was an esp cool part I recall, how a man a few 100 years ago visited like 70-80 Native Tribes- they all had in common breathing through the nose- these tribes virtually never got sick and had great bone structure). For fun, the last book I read was an A Caribbean Mystery by Agatha Christie

Last Movie 🍿: Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs. I'm really wishing for a mini series from this film! But am not super confident because of the absolute, stupid BS criticism this movie received in its beginning. This movie has done the best take on inner beauty that I've seen (sorry Beauty and the Beast, you are a Masterpiece and I worship you but this film's message is the superior one)

Last TV show 📺 : My sister and I recently went through The Legend of Zelda DVD collection again (the first one I ever owned, a gift for me back around 2007). Man we had so much fun!!

Sweet/Spicy/flavory 🍔 : *offended sputtering* WHERE'S THE SALTY?! Sweet and Salty is my favorite! If I eat too much salt, I get something sweet and vice versa. It's a holy, blessed union.

Current obsession 🌀 : Working with Kayden's universe...and Coco Pops and Rice Krispies crossover (yes I'm still very dedicated to that and have drawn stuff, just haven't finished polishing any!). This is another song, but I've been obsessed with Shadowland from Lion King as well.

Last thing I searched 🔎 : Flavory lol

Looking forward to 👀 : The Spring and Summer!! Working more with my characters, talking with people- that kind of general thing.
