very unfriendly reminder that cops always have and still break the law on a daily basis. it doesn’t apply to them. it isn’t made for them. they don’t care.
the law doesn’t protect your rights. it keeps you under control.

March 5 2018 - Local antifascists successfully blockaded Richard Spencer’s event at Michigan State University in East Lansing, with Spencer speaking to a mostly empty room. Outside the venue the Neo-nazis of the Traditionalist Worker Party tried to break through the blockade, but were beaten back, with noted mother-in-law fucker Matthew Heimbach getting punched in the head. Remembering the Chittisinghpura Massacre
18 years ago this day was the Chittisinghpura massacre. Gunmen dressed in Indian Army uniforms, some with hands coloured from a Holi celebration, burst in the homes of Sikhs and ordered the men and boys to go with them. They also rounded up men returning home from evening prayers and from several stores. 36 Sikhs were taken to the gurdwara and 35 murdered.
Only one survived, Nanak Singh Aulakh. He recognised the voices of some of the gunmen and blamed the local unit of Rashtriya Rifles of inaction. He recalls the men addressing one man as “Commanding Officer and yelling “Jai Mata Di”, a Hindu phrase of praise for a goddess. However, the Indian government and the BJP blames Pakistani militants.

May we also remember the 5 innocent Kashmiris killed by the Indian army in a fake police encounter, something we are very familiar with, as “proof” they were taking the attack on Sikhs seriously and to pin the attack on Pakistan.
“The five the government killed were innocent,” Niranjan Singh, president of the Anantnag District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, told rediff.com on telephone. “They had nothing to do with the murders.” Ranjit Singh, former president of the Anantnag Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, seconded this opinion. “Nobody believes the claims of the government,” he said in a telephone interview. “It is utter nonsense.”
Kashmiri Sikhs are still demanding justice.

Stephen Hawking
“If machines produce everything we need, the outcome will depend on how things are distributed. Everyone can enjoy a life of luxurious leisure if the machine-produced wealth is shared, or most people can end up miserably poor if the machine-owners successfully lobby against wealth redistribution. So far, the trend seems to be toward the second option, with technology driving ever-increasing inequality.”

I think in light of Stephen Hawking passing, I would like to remind everyone that ALS is a horrible tragic disease. Watching my best friend suffer from it has no joke been the single worst miserable thing. Ever. ALS had it’s 15 minutes of fame after the ice bucket challenge but I would really really encourage people to still raise awareness towards ALS and donate if it’s within their means. Stephen Hawking surviving so long and being able to continue to even just interact with others is in thanks to equipment and resources many ALS patients just don’t have. If you really loved Stephen Hawking please consider donating to the ALS Association or participating in an ALS walk/fundraising event!

Remember when Stephen Hawking was more worried about inequality under capitalism than artificial intelligence in a Reddit AMA and people started telling him to read an economics 101 book? Wild. Anyways rip Steve

Steven Hawking‘s life proves what we should all know to be true: that intelligence without compassion is meaningless, and that every person who is truly intelligent knows caring deeply for others is the smartest choice a person can make

I hope Stephen Hawking’s anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist politics aren’t erased from history, or obscured in our collective remembrance of him.
