Terezi could only watch his blurry body move and shift around while he contemplated the idea on where they were to head out to next. Was it really that difficult a question? Karkat was taking an awfully long time, unless he was starting to ramble out loud. It didn't smell like it though. Those chompers of his were kept shut and she couldn't detect him breathing unless it were coming from his nose. Haha, was he learning to be quiet now? As long as he wasn't holding his breath. The thought almost made her snicker.
If she knew what he was thinking about, she would've agreed to all of it. Going back home, or even to the game... it would have been way better than this. Almost anything would. She didn't like being unable to use her powers to her full ability, even if the repercussions took a toll on her own mind. She liked guiding everyone, even if she did do it in her own way.
She almost considered saying something else until he started whacking her cane around like a blind mad man. Hehehe, it was an accurate description. Quickly, she caught up to him down the hall, wondering whether or not she should stop him from destroying her cane. It may not have been there yet, but if he kept doing that it would be broken into pieces!
"It smells like you're still pretty angry. Like a big spicy mess. I thought you were calmed down!" she said, taking a careful hold of his wrist before he started flailing about again. She didn't want to be whacked in the face. "Why don't we practice? Hehehe, let's start!" Letting go of him she ran a little ahead, stopping until she deemed it was enough for him. She wasn't too far, so hopefully he could do it.
"I am now a few feet away from you! I want you to use that to find me, Karkat." she called down, her voice echoing down the hall, "Think you can do that?"
dealing with disabilities [x2]
Dot dot curve: a smile. She was always smiling, Terezi, even when the situation looked grim. It would be so unlike her to stay glum for too long, and Karkat could feel the both of them slipping back into their own skins, just a little bit. If they could just stay themselves for the duration of the treatment, things would be fine. They’d regain their lost senses and go back to doing whatever it was they did.
In the meantime, what would they do? Communication between a blind and a deaf person was difficult, especially when the blindness was shared. Terezi might have been able to read things by licking them, but Karkat was so unused to the darkness that he wasn’t sure he’d be able to write anything down. They’d have to stick with the old method then, at least until they thought of something easier.
Where did he want to go, though? Karkat’s mind wandering to Skaia, to Prospit, to the laboratories in the Veil. Anywhere but here, he thought. This place was hell in a handbasket and he wanted out. Even the game would be better than this shithole. Even if it meant risking their lives again and again. Wasn’t that what they were doing here? They had no idea what they were up against, here or there? For all they knew, this hospital was still a part of the game. A universal part of every session, perhaps. Beyond the reaches of any one session and instead connected to them all. Like the Green Sun… could that be it? Could this place be similar to the Green Sun in origin and purpose?
Karkat shook his head, trying to clear it of these thoughts. Maybe, but who knew? He’d have to find someone who could answer his questions or all his theories and ideas would be useless. In any case, thinking like this wouldn’t help his current predicament, or Terezi’s. Not that there was much trouble now, but who knew what else was running loose in the hospital? He could’ve run into his own denizen and it wouldn’t have surprised him at this point. After all, they might still be in the game —
No, no, no! You’ve got to stop thinking like that! Karkat shook his head again and began walking in a random direction, clicking the cane furiously against the walls and floor. He wasn’t sure what it was supposed to do, not really, but hitting things with it felt kind of nice.

Feeling the sudden warmth of his hand on her face, she stared at him, wondering what the in the world he was doing. Important words still flowed out of his mouth and fell upon her deaf, undeserving ears. Her mind focused on feeling the touch run down to her shoulder. It seemed like his hand wasn't going to move after that. It... definitely felt nice, but it made her feel weird in her stomach. Was he trying to tell her things were okay in his own weird way? Or was he just doing this because she couldn't hear him?
"Everything is alright."
Of course, she was completely unaware that his goal right now was to protect her and all that jazz, but honestly was fine! Or was she? ... yeah. She felt okay. She's handled shit like this on her own! It wasn't different now. Her gaze shifted to the side, traces of her grin gone as she looked deep in thought. A soft sigh left her lips, eyes trailing back up to him. He may have said he wasn't being stupid but she thought he was. He didn't need to do this— not for her.
With a careful touch that was almost foreign from her, she took his hand, guiding it back down to join the other so that both of them were holding her cane again. She looked at him again, her expression almost melancholy. Why she felt this way now was unknown to her. His feelings were almost contagious.
"We'll help each other?"

dealing with disabilities [x2]
Karkles — What a mixture of emotions accompanied the name! Disapproval and irritation came first, flushed quickly out by a gentle relief and some sort of content feeling. Her teasing him was good, wasn’t it? It meant that they were okay, that they’d fight their way through. Yes, that’s right; besides these new disabilities, nothing was wrong. Nothing at all.
But the blindness, the deafness, it was enough to put a damper on things. It bothered Karkat that he could hear Terezi’s comforting words while she couldn’t hear his. Each word she said put a little bit of sureness back into him and she remained in one state, hardly changing. Wasn’t there anything he could do? She couldn’t hear him or see him in the way others could. She could taste and smell, but what part of that could he exploit? She could feel…
That was it, then; he’d use her sense of touch to reassure her, though it never crossed his mind that she might be stronger than he was and thus didn’t need any such thing. Even if he’d thought of it he would have pressed on anyway, since it would ease his mind as well, knowing he tried. A single hand reached out, first touching her face then trailing down to her shoulder. The smallest and saddest of smiles crept across Karkat’s face as he murmured, “I’m not being stupid, I’m protecting you.
Even if you don’t need it.”

This new treatment, Ringo didn’t like it. When she had heard that disgusting voice over the inter-come, her face had scrunched up at the idea of loosing any of her senses. It terrified her.
It was impossible. A part of her had been mentally saying this over and over again. It was impossible that this doctor could make them loose something so precious as their hearing, sight or voice just like that. So with that small comfort in her mind, she had fallen asleep for a small nao.
When she woke up a bit later in the afternoon, everything had seemed fine. Ringo had shuffled to the bathroom, taken a shower and then donned on a new pair of clothes. All while never making much of a sound. It was later on until she wanted to say something, had her chest seized horrible. She couldn’t speak. Somehow, her voice had completely gone away. It terrified her. The brunette had assumed it was just a cold that had caused it to do that. Because, that was normal, right?

Grabbing the water bottle placed by her bed-side, she took a drink, cleared her throat and opened her lips to say something. Nothing came out. Fingers clutched at her throat, tears rising to her eyes. No way, no way, no way! Why? Why had this happened to her? Clumsily, her fingers opened up the drawer above, taking out a small sketch-book that she had found in one of the art buildings a few months ago. She also snatched a pen, flipping the small booklet open. She had to find someone and ask what was going on. Walking out of the room and into the hallway, she glanced around, clutching her small book and pencil to her chest.
Walking without a cane was kind of weird, but it wasn't like she hadn't done it before! It was all for show— to poke and prod those in her way or bother those who she felt like messing around with. It was serving a better purpose with someone else anyway. This could be somewhat like a refresher course in seeing like a dragon, like her lusus taught her. Just without the sound part.
Down the hall she went, her hand trailing idly along the wall because she needed something to keep her hands busy now that they were free to roam and explore. It was all a big white blur, the only differences in color were the metal plates on the doors that held their room numbers. Ugh. What a boring refresher. She was considering turning back, if only she hadn't bumped into someone coming out of their room. Blargh, what was with her and bumping into people today?
Taking a step back, Terezi took the chance to study the new blob of colors, nose scrunching a little to get a good whiff of her, "So? Nothing to say?"

Hah.

Terezi remained still, cane out in hand and brow slightly raised as she watched him take a moment to take notice of the situation. She knew she grabbed his attention with her cane, keeping it where it was so that he'd take it himself. As it left her hand, she grinned a little more, glad he was able to figure out where it was. She could've made it harder for him to find, but at a time like this, she didn't really want to mess around with his sudden disability. Not when she personally dealt with the same hardships.
"That's using your head, Karkles." she lightly teased, shrugging afterwards, "You can keep that, since it's stuck as a dumb old cane anyway. I don't think I'm going to be doing anything that I really need it for." This particular treatment wasn't allowing anything involving powers or weapons, right? It'd be ridiculous with them running around blindly with swords and shit. Someone would end up dying again. Bluh. Not that her powers would do anything either. They only worked for a certain spider troll that wasn't even present so it was useless. Ridiculous.
Feeling the tap on her shoulder, she looked up at his face, noticing that he was saying something she could only hopelessly watch from her blurry weird vision. She was curious, but he looked serious saying whatever he wanted to say, (there was a difference between that and his 'for show' attitude) so it must have been something about the cane? Oh well. If she truly knew what he said, she would have appreciated the sentiment.
"I'm going to assume you're saying something smart and go along with it." she snickered, trying to lighten the mood, " ... unless... you're just kind of babbling about doing something silly."
dealing with disabilities [x2]
She couldn’t… hear him? Wasn’t he being loud enough? She was always telling him to shut up and stop yelling in the Veil; why wasn’t this enough for her now? Was her hearing fading to match her sight or was it —
Idiot! It was the treatment, it made her as deaf as he was blind! Anger coursed through his veins as he tried to imagine why anyone would hinder an already blind troll. One and only one, wasn’t that what the treatment said? Apparently it didn’t cater to pre-existing conditions and simply added onto them, leaving the disabled more handicapped than ever. That wouldn’t stop Terezi, of course. She was a fighter, like him, and she wouldn’t give up until… until what? He couldn’t imagine a scenario that would make her stop fighting. To the last drop, he thought; she’d give it her all until nothing was left.
Clack clack.
Her cane hit the tiled floor and it echoed, catching Karkat’s attention. It took him a moment to comprehend what was happening, but slowly it dawned on him and he took the cane with one hand. She didn’t need it, not really. Her insane nose and tongue could pick up everything she needed to know, and the cane was simply a formality at this point. However, her passing it over to him would leave her unarmed and without hearing. It was a dangerous situation to be in, especially when Karkat remembered what he’d seen in the basement and his newest theories of the hospital’s true meaning.
Carefully, very carefully, he outstretched his arm and tapped Terezi on the shoulder with her cane. “I’m not leaving you alone,” Karkat said, knowing she couldn’t hear him. “I’m going to protect you this time.” The statement itself might not have meant anything, but it was the gesture behind it that made him feel positive again. Even during this supposedly tame treatment, he was going to watch out for her. He’d be her ears and her guard, keeping away anything that might threaten them. With this hospital, who knew what would come up uninvited?

When Karkat began to explain what was happening to him, all Terezi could do was kind of stare at his face with an understanding expression and nod a little, as if she understood what he was saying. She didn't. No, that wasn't a thing that stopped happening or anything, because she couldn't hear even a mumble of the grumpy voice she knew and loved. Just pure, suffocating silence.
"Karkat," she began, eyebrows creased and mouth forming in a way that signaled her frustration, "I have no idea what you said. What did they do? I can't hear you." She can still "see" him in his mix of gray, which was nice, but she couldn't exactly say the same for him and everyone else who was given the special opportunity to be blind. She tried to think of a way to help him out, something, anything at all to calm him down and give him back his security again. Teaching him her ways would be enjoyable but kind of pointless if they couldn't communicate well between each other.
Suddenly, she held out her cane, a crack of a grin on her face, "How's this?" she asked, tapping it a little on the ground to let him hear where it was. If he was going to stay like this for awhile, might as well make him practice. "Take it, Karkat! You need it more then I do. I can still kind of get by without it, at least better than you and these other nooksuckers."
dealing with disabilities [x2]
That voice — that loud and slightly grating voice. It was like music to his ears, a beautiful, familiar melody played when he needed it most. There was no doubt that it was she who stood before him, the troll he was hoping to run into in these (quite literally) dark times. Karkat could feel the relief pass over his face as he tried to imagine her standing there, grumpy perhaps, but apparently pleased to see — er, smell — him.
Although his guard dropped, nothing else did. His voice remained as loud as ever, and his irritation with the treatment high. Terezi’s appearance was a pleasant surprise, but it couldn’t and wouldn’t make him forget the reasons he’d been looking for her. “I’m blind, Terezi,” he began. “I can’t see a single goddamn thing and it’s seriously hindering my ability as a player and a leader. How am I supposed to do jack shit if I can’t see it? I can’t smell it like you do, and fuck knows I wouldn’t want to go around running my tongue over everything. But… shit, what am I supposed to do?” It seemed a simple question, but at the last line his voice faltered to reveal some of his hidden fears. They hadn’t been given an ending date for this treatment. What if it was permanent? What if he’d never see again?
No no, that was ridiculous! Of course they’d give them their lost senses eventually. They had to… didn’t they? What good would it be to anyone to have blind patients stumbling around the corridors, deaf ones yelling in an attempt to hear something, anything? The mutes would become frantic with their loss of expression, and havoc would arrive in the form of frustrated and confused individuals. Surely they didn’t want that…
Or did they?

A smile came to Terezi's face when she took note of her brightly hair-colored stranger saying something back. It wasn't a big difference, but she could smell the differences between his mouth opening and closing. Obviously they were running that flap of theirs, saying something she couldn't figure out. If she could do this much, then maybe it wasn't too bad. She'd probably just have to try and figure out what they're saying on her own. Or just say whatever she wanted that may or may not correlate to the conversation.
"Hehe, it's like one big wad of bubblegum! Or maybe pink cottoncandy. I haven't decided which one I like more on top of your head yet."
Terezi dragged her cane a little from the wall and moved forward to start invading his personal space, poking his foot while she let him study her or whatever. Not that she actually knew that was what he was doing. She just didn't know what else to say to him other than make notes of her own observations.
"Yeah, so I can't really hear you because of these stupid doctors." she began, glancing up at the librarian with a frown appearing on her black lips once more, "I'm going to guess you can't either hear or see me because I noticed you've been talking at me this whole time."

She scratched the back of her head with her free hand and huffed, "Well, my name's Terezi! I'm going to call you mister bubblegum, okay? Sucks that you're stuck here with us in this lame party."
treatment 9; blindness }
Sanetoshi remained still, not wanting to accidentally run into anyone, or even stand too close to one for comfort, as it was difficult to keep track of where things were, even as adept as he was.
The librarian felt quite useless, which was.. a rather unenjoyable experience. He felt as though he was being toyed with, and of course, he was already confident of the fact that he would obtain revenge for what the doctors had done, and what they were doing. They must not have yet realized who they were dealing with, but that was only to be expected.

“So, I like your hair.”
He blinked, vivid, dark magenta eyes staring at the stranger’s general direction. Something about her voice seemed peculiar, as though she hadn’t known what to say; he already suspected her to be deaf. After all, he was also a doctor, and thusly was able to judge from experience with proper knowledge.
“My hair?” Still, Sanetoshi didn’t at all refrain from asking her that. It would be better to be safe than sorry, and he only wished to confirm his suspicions. His lips twitched to a faint smile, gaze stubbornly remaining aimed at her.
“How kind of you to say that; I suppose it is rather electrifying…”

The one thing that did throw him off, however, was that he’d just heard the noise of a cane slightly scraping against the floor, which led him to believe that she was blind, as well. So was she both blind and deaf? Or had he merely judged things incorrectly, as there was always room for error..
Sanetoshi tilted his head slightly to the side, roseate wisps of hair gliding a little with the movement.
“How electrifying… to think that you are burdened with both degrading conditions.”

"Wow, what the hell!"

—was what Terezi said when she ran into what she presumed to be a stranger. Of course, she didn't expect to be running into anyone familiar anytime soon, but it looked like she had a little luck on her side for the time being. She most definitely didn't hear the usual crabbiness coming from her friend like he probably intended for her to.
Once she noticed the smell of familiarity in front of her, she lowered her guard and calmed herself down. That musky smell with a light hint of her favorite cherry flavor. It was either one troll or one particular human, but the overly large presence of gray helped her chances of choosing one guess over the other. Plus, she was so painfully familiar with him... it would almost be a crime if she couldn't notice him right off the bat.
"Karkat?"
dealing with disabilities [x2]
While Terezi had woken up to complete silence, Karkat had his disability thrusted open him the middle of his waking hours. His terrible sleeping habits had carried over into this universe and he rarely slept, meaning it could’ve been days before the blindness struck him if they’d chosen to wait until he was sleeping. A small part of him hoped his constant alertness might save him, but in the end he knew it was futile.
He was pondering this as he strolled down another corridor with his hand against the wall to warn him of upcoming turns. It felt stupid, but if it kept him from hitting inanimate objects, how could he complain? Easily enough — he was Karkat Vantas after all, he could complain about anything if he found a reason to. As it was, strings of curses and other obscenities were being omitted beneath his breath as he continued on, hoping to find some way of getting some goddamn answers. He’d put up with this shit long enough, and it was time someone told him what was going on.
Instead he found a friend, someone he’d been hoping to run into since the treatment was announced: Terezi. He didn’t it, of course, as he was unable to identify anyone without his vision. He’d have to wait until she opened her mouth, which wouldn’t be too long, knowing her. In the meantime, he let out a loud, “Watch where the fuck you’re going!” for no one to hear.

dealing with disabilities [x2] — w/karkat
Waking up to complete silence wasn't particularly new to someone like her. Terezi rarely took notice to any of her roommates anymore, (were they even still around, was the question) so she honestly did what she pleased, when she pleased. However, this kind of silence was different. There wasn't any whirring of computers going, no shuffling of feet passing by her door, no wind blowing outside— just honest to god nothing. What the hell?
Taking a deep breath, she began to run a quick test. A few small bounces on the bed, tapping her cane on the ground, squishing Pyralspite to her chest with no squeak to be heard— !
And that was when the announcement from before the new treatment started to play in the front her mind. Being blind already wasn't enough for them? They had to take out her sense of hearing too? It was a heaping load of bullshit, that's what it was. It only made her angry and a little bit upset. Sure, she flaunted the fact she could move so freely while having no vision, but this was taking it up on a whole new level.
With her cane in hand, she followed the cold draft coming from the door and stormed out. She didn't know where she wanted to go, but staying in there wasn't going to do herself any good. This place fucking sucked and she was getting tired of dealing with it.

In her fit of frustration to losing her hearing, Terezi began wandering the halls of the hospital again. It was beginning to turn into a pattern when all she'd do was wander when she didn't feel like doing anything else. Her cane was dead set against the bottom of the wall, acting as her guide so she'd know when the hall ended and when new ones showed up.
At least she could still differentiate between what was a wall and a door by their smell. Thank troll jegus for her awesome dragonlusus. If only she were alive and here right now, she wouldn't have felt so isolated from everything. Other than her enhances senses, she could still talk... but she might as well be mute at this point too! What good would talking do if she couldn't even hear the other person?
Mumbling to herself, she continued walking forward and ignored those she to pass, having no intention of stopping anywhere in particular. However, it seemed like the next person she ran into was quite the funny looking character. Also, their hair smelled like pink bubblegum, which was kind of nice. The hair was the only reason why she stopped for a moment and she couldn't really tell if they were even saying anything to her, so all she said was—
"So, I like your hair."

treatment 9; blindness }
At first, he’d confused the darkness for mere lack of light, thinking that the room must not have had anything to illuminate the place with. Sanetoshi sat up from the bed, one hand carefully reaching around for the light switch; it didn’t seem to be anywhere nearby.
He already felt a sense of danger, as it was easy to tell that he wasn’t in a place he was familiar with, no… wherever he was, it was entirely foreign. But what struck the librarian as odd was that upon standing from the bed, his eyesight didn’t improve, as it should have done so. Either it was incredibly dark there, or something was.. wrong. Even more wrong than he’d initially expected.

After groping his way around the desk and, finally, to the door, he stepped out into the hallway, magenta eyes wide open. He’d already accessed his surroundings, it seemed he’d awoken within a kind of dorm room. How electrifying.
Suddenly a faint clinking noise could be heard coming from the speakers, and he turned his head up a little, as though that would help his sight.
“Good day to you patients. Did you enjoy the last treatment? Did you get…. ah, what’s the current lingo… biz-zay with the nast-tay?
Treatment? So he was in a hospital. He’d assumed so already, judging from the smell, but that announcement had settled the matter entirely. But Sanetoshi was not sick; after all, he was already dead, treating him with medicine and chemicals would make no difference whatsoever to him… clearly the people in charge didn’t know what they were doing. Or at least, it certainly seemed like that, so far.
LET’S BEGIN THE OPERATION.”
Something seemed to be wrong with the person speaking, as their voice grew louder and louder. Truly, how strange — perhaps they were undergoing the treatment, as well. At least the situation had been explained to him.
Sanetoshi kept one gloved hand lightly trailing over the wall while thinking. He didn’t know how long he would be blind for… he wasn’t even sure if he’d retain his eyesight any time soon, if at all. As much as he wanted to stay in the room he’d woken up in, he knew it would be more profitable to figure out more about where he was. A hospital wasn’t a good - enough answer for the careful man.

After walking a little down the hall, he finally heard something — the place was so quiet, it made it especially easy for him to tell when he was in another’s company. It seemed that hardly anyone had been wandering about, not even any nurses. He could deal with that; but he did just hear a noise, and thus, turning to face the stranger, whether they’d noticed him yet or not, he stated,
“Excuse me, but I’m a little lost…”

TOO BAD HE DOESN’T FUCKING EXIST. DO YOU THINK I HAVEN’T TRIED TO FIND STUFF OUT ABOUT HIM? IT DOESN’T WORK. HE’S NOWHERE. NOTHING. PROBABLY YOUR AVERAGE, RUN OF THE MILL TROLL WHO ENDED UP DOING JACK SHIT WITH HIS LIFE. IT FIGURES THAT HE’D LEAVE HIS DESCENDANT TO DO ALL THE DIRTY WORK, HUH? WHATEVER, IT DOESN’T MATTER. WE’RE CREATIONS OF ECTOBIOLOGY. ABOMINATIONS OF NATURE. ANCESTORS ARE IRRELEVANT, WE DON’T NEED THEM AND I HOLD FIRM TO MY STATEMENT THAT EVERYTHING INVOLVING THEM IS UTTER BULLSHIT.
IS IT? I DON’T KNOW, I DON’T REALLY GIVE A FUCK. IT’S NOT LIKE I THOUGHT A LOT ABOUT MY MORTALITY BEFORE ALL THIS SHIT WENT DOWN.

TEREZI NO. STOP IT. I AM NOT — DON’T YOU FUCKING DARE. S-STOP.
#pulsehazeknight#oohhhh that's awesome!#will you be putting your headcanons up somewhere? * v* i'd love to see!#ahhh colleges#find anything interesting to you? O:

WHAT HISTORY DO I EVEN HAVE? I WAS HATCHED, SHIT HAPPENED, HERE I AM. WOW WHAT AN EXCITING TALE. IT’S SO CHOCKFULL OF ADVENTURE AND TRAGIC ROMANCE THAT I AM IN TEARS. UNLESS YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT ANCESTRY BECAUSE WE BOTH KNOW THAT’S BULLSHIT.
NINETY SWEEPS? HOLY FUCK IS THAT OPTIMISTIC. I DON’T KNOW IF ANY TROLL HAS — OH YEAH, THERE’S THE EMPRESS, I GUESS. I THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY I WON’T HAVE THAT KIND OF A LIFESPAN. THAT WAS THE POINT, NUMBNUTS. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE.
SUIT YOURSELF, BUT DON’T COME CRYING TO ME WHEN YOU LOSE ANOTHER SENSE THANKS TO YOUR REFUSAL. NOT ONLY DID I WARN YOU, BUT I DON’T WANT YOUR SAD FLUIDS ALL OVER MY BODY.

I — NO, I WAS FUCKING — NOT. TEREZI STOP IT. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY — RIDICULOUS.
#AHHH QT KARKAT IS TICKLISH#oohhh his neck you sayyyyyy??? c;#i mean what#i didn't hear that#pulsehazeknight

Terezi patiently waited outside the door, letting the overwhelming silence start hitting at her nerves. He was definitely behind that door somewhere. She could smell him now. The coolkid scent was reassuring but it also stung in a way she wish it wouldn't. Well, at least she knew he was safe! She could just leave now if she wanted. By the time that train of thought stopped by, her ears already caught him shuffling up toward her and— oh shit, the door was opening... !
Wide-eyed, she stared up at the other, trying to reel her mind to catch up with the current events. Her mouth made a move to speak, but nothing came out. This was supposed to be a lot easier! Unable to think of the right words to say, she sprang forward and clung to the front of his shirt. She really wanted to hug him but she did not even deserve that. She shouldn't even be clinging to him.
"Dave... Dave, I'm sorry.... I just wanted to see that you were okay and..." she trailed off, words already starting to flow out of her mouth while her eyes threatened to betray her again.
"... you can push me away after this but I want you to hear what I have to say! I understand if you can't forgive me.. it's all my fault. I lost control and I wanted to let you know that I'm sorry for everything." she continued, burying her face into his chest. Ugh, this was a mess and she was just babbling on and on. "This.. is not even half of what I want to say but I don't know know how to say it all. I.. am the worst friend..."

upsets and downfalls.
Dave was moping on the floor of his room yet again. The apartment was just about empty save for him. His unnamed roommate hasn’t shown his face and he bet that he wasn’t even there anymore. Ampora and Captor weren’t even there. Everything was quiet, serene, and lonely.
He heard the quaint knocks on his door, alerting him out of his silent conversation with himself. He pondered whether or not to answer the door, last time he did he got a face full of Vantas.
He pursed his lips for a moment in thought then rose soundlessly to the door. He placed one hand on the wood and the other on the door knob. If necessary, slamming the door in their faces was an option. He listened in and heard his name in the quietest of voices. He tried to figure out who it was but the voice was just too soft to pinpoint who it was.
Swallowing painfully, he turned the knob and opened the door to see the teal blood.

“…. Terezi.”
