Meanwhile, Nalin was busy as all heck getting an infusion ready for something called a Purification Talisman.

From what she heard from someone, it was supposed to remove any negative energies from the body and safely dispel it into the aura without causing any or too much disturbance. Downside was that many figured out how to make it after they had too much warp on the mind, but she didn’t want to risk gaining any after that one episode. Better to just gather the material needed.

She had everything she needed, the resources, the essentia, all she had to do now is to start the infusion and hope to the goddesses that this will help Zathog out. The Permutatio treatment was a temporary solution, she hoped this was a permanent one.

Zathog: Nalin and I have been trying a lot of things, but so far everything we’ve tried is just a temporary solution. I don’t know what’s wrong with me, but I am feeling worse and weaker by the day. I don’t understand why, and I fear I may not last much longer. I have hope that we’ll find something, but… I’m not like normal Dhaebru. Not at all, the only one who knows anything about me at all is is.. Rhaegar and..” ~He clings to the sheep plushie he was given a while back, it helps him feel better, being infused with large amounts of Sano essentia, shaking his head and seeming to flinch at the very name he utters~ Zathog: And… I can’t go back. I just can’t. ~He has to get out from under the blanket so his next episode of throwing up flux goo doesn’t mess up the nice warm things he’s taking comfort in during his illness~ Zathog: Either way… I know it has to do with something going wrong in my Core, but I haven’t figured out what it is or how to fix it.

Leaf: That’s already been answered. She had a baby named Zhaeva and she’s the most adorable little ball of shadow.

Leaf could almost feel the magical energy that Faye gave off from behind the door... almost pulsing. Whatever was happening to her in there had her worried. Not to mention it would stir Rowan from her sleep, given that she’s seen how attuned she is to her parents, recognizing Faye by her energy signature alone. Leaf had to do something before the Shadowkin infant woke up. “Do you need any help? Should I get Basatan??”

A few days after stealing the essentia, Faye seems to be feeling a little more tired, but she just chalks it up to helping take care of a very curious little baby, especially since Rowan’s started to crawl about and even pull herself to stand up on things. Of course, as soon as Rowan is put to bed, Faye and Leaf take the moment to have some time to themselves. Faye immediately takes her armor off, leaving her just in her robe and falls asleep, while Leaf reads through one of her books. Only… after a few hours, Faye starts to shift uncomfortably. The magical energy and dark aura she gives off grows a bit darker, and the crackling of magical static starts up followed by a purple flicker.  In moments, Faye bolts upright with her eyes wide, before throwing off her robes and BOLTING into the closet as fast as she can go. Behind her is a trail of shadow with that odd magical static stuff, though it starts to fade after a moment. Shadowy black smoke flows from under the door, leaving Leaf both very confused… and a bit concerned.

Leaf: Her lucky goggles. They have served her LOADS when it came to risky experiments by Thaumaturgy or Technomancy.

Ra’fai: She doesn’t have much in the way of lucky charms, but she does carry on her some protective poppets.

Alma: pretty much doesn’t need any lucky charms.

(( Not doing an event circling around Leaf in labor, since I am too lazy. Plus time passes faster in-blog than in real life, so I have an excuse to do this lmao ))

A full nine months has come and passed, but it was in the middle of the night that Leaf’s labor pains began. She brushed it off as the baby moving around in her, that is until she felt the amniotic fluids leaking out from between her legs. The first thing she did was alert Faye, who from there went to fetch one of the allied Wardens, a medic named Basatan.

When he had first heard that a human had gotten pregnant from one of his kind, he was... completely dumbfounded, thus had to do research on how to deliver a baby, as well as what to give to numb or lessen the pain.

The moment Faye alerted him on Leaf going into labor, he was immediately on his way to assist. The first thing he did was set up a tub Leaf had and filled it with warm water, to make the labor more easier on her, and once she was settled in, he gave her some potions that numbed the pain.

It took hours, hours or refilling the tub with warm water and re-administrating potions to her, and of course a hormonal Leaf, but in the end it was all worth it. The baby soon came out, and just as the two had suspected, it was big.

The medic Warden gently scooped the baby out of the water, wrapped the little one into a dry towel, and made sure that it took its first breaths of life. It did, with loud little cries. From there he then carefully cut the umbilical cord before handing it over to Leaf.

The past nine months they had no idea what the baby would look like, but there it was, or rather, there she is. A little girl, black as shadow with a lighter shade of grey for hair. Leaf wasn’t sure on her eye color, but given how she looked much like a little carbon copy of herself, she assumed they would be silver like hers as well.

“Look Faye, it’s a girl. Isn’t she adorable?”

So Nalin, have you dove into the more 'forbidden' knowledge of thaumaturgy?

Nalin: The only thing I touched upon is the Research Mastery. I mean who wouldn’t want to know what aspects combine into what?

But... while minor warp isn’t something to cry over over and many people don’t feel the effects that much, to me it felt like I was about to be dragged into another realm, and it literally made me pass out.

...on top of that, I heard a voice say “The Black Lotus” before I did, too. So right now I’m trying to figure out why it was talking about those Black Lotus flowers and what it wanted with them.

*Hauls in two large bag before wiping brow* Phew... Alright after hearing your warp problems I made you these. *pats both bags* One bag is filled with purifying bath salts to help ward off some warp and the other is stuffed with sanitizing soap for scrubbing off all but the toughest of warp. *looks at each bag again while rubbing back of head* I might of gone a bit overboard, but it best to have extra than not enough. :D

Leaf: Uhh... wow thanks! I don’t know if I need THAT much soap and salts, and Faye gave me a pendant that’ll last me up until I give birth anyways. But I’ll find use for this stuff for later, maybe!
