Okay, so imagine this.
Your best friend invites you to tag along on a double date. Her boyfriend is bringing his best friend as well. The best friend is a handsome, somewhat alternative looking guy. You hit it off with the him and end up at his place for the night. You wake up in the morning and sneak out, make yourself a cup of coffee in his cute mug and write down your phone number on a piece of paper and leave it on the coffee table along with the mug.
The guy wakes up and sees your number but because of your terrible handwriting, he can’t read it properly and after a few attempts of calling you he gives up, thinking you left him a fake number to be extra cruel.
A month later you are helping your best friend move in and the guy turns up as well to help out. The two of you are in the elevator, and he asks you why you left him a fake number. He says he thought you had hit it off.
You are baffled and you tell him you didn’t leave him a fake number. He looks at you like you have 3 heads. When he finally believes you, he asks you out for coffee some time soon and you say yes.
You get out of the elevator and leave the boxes in front of your best friend’s place and the guy gives you his phone so you can type in your number. When you hand it back, he snaps a picture of you to add to the contact and then adds a heart to your name.
You tease him about that but before you can hear his defense, your best friend and her boyfriend are there and you have to go back to helping out.
The next morning he texts you about your schedule for the week so he would know when you’re free. You try to tell him that your schedule is flexible and you should do it when he’s free, but he refuses. Then he asks if you have plans for the weekend instead. You tell him you don’t and then he asks you what area of the city you live in.
10 minutes after telling him you get a link to a calendar event called “Coffee Date” on Saturday afternoon at a cafe not too far away from where you live. That is followed up by these texts:
