A/N: I guess this is my debut on tumblr, I have enjoyed xreader fan fiction for as long as i can remember (it helps me fill the empty void in my heart oof) and i want to do the same for people, i also noticed a lack of josuke fics and i love him so much, so i decided to write my own. Whenever I hear this song I immediately think of out sweet pompadour boy :) enjoy!

Another walk about, after dark It's my point of view

It was currently 5 o’clock, classes had finished and the canary yellow skies of Morioh had started to turn orange. You sighed contently, leaning on a wall as you enjoyed the last rays of sun shining on your face.

It was normally like this, you would sit outside waiting for your boyfriend to finish up his classes. Sometimes you would buy a drink for both of you, other times you would finish some left over lunch, but it had become part of your routine to wait for your goofy boyfriend.

On the other hand, Josuke would hate having you wait, he would always be the first to exit his classroom and he would apologize profusely for making you wait so long, you would always smile and shake it off but he always had the lingering dread that you wouldn’t be there one day.

Of course he could understand that maybe you had to stay in late or that you had forgotten something in your locker but that rarely happened, and when Josuke didn’t see your (h/c) head waiting for him as he walked out of the school building he would immediately panic.

You couldn’t blame him, you two had been through a lot. From a  handful of notorious stands to a serial killer, it was only normal he was a bit skeptic.

Today was no exception, he rushed out of class and ran down the stairs, giddy and excited to see you again. He smiled in relief as he saw your familiar figure leaning at the entrance, you hadn’t noticed his presence yet and seemed too concentrated on your fingernails.

He took a moment to admire your beauty, (h/c) locks framed your (s/c) face, the golden glow of the afternoon sunlight made your (e/c) pop, pouty lips and long eyelashes. He smirked lightly as he crouched next to you.

“ boo “ he said, causing you to jump.

“ fuck you scared the shit out of me!! “ you said dramatically as you clutched your uniform.

He simply grinned as he wrapped his arms around your waist, pulling you into a gentle kiss, you smiled against his lips.

Small pecks and smiles made up your afternoons with Josuke, sometimes you two would be in a lively chatter, other times a comfortable silence, nevertheless you enjoyed each other's company.

Today he decided to take you somewhere different, as it was Friday you guys where free the whole day so you didn’t have to worry about the darkening sky. He wrapped his arm around your waist pulling you closer, causing you to blush.

He looked down at you “ You know I love you a lot right? “ he said almost worriedly, his eyes where soft, a gentle smile playing against his lips. 

“ You tell me everyday “ You mused, shaking your head as you tried to get rid of the heat in your cheeks.

“ I know, I just feel like i don’t emphasize it enough“ he said, his smile was replaced by a slight frown as he moved his gaze from you to the road up ahead.

It broke your heart a to hear such things, he was one of the most attentive and caring boyfriends, constantly checking on you and making small but sweet actions such as giving you small bags of chocolates or flower bouquets for no apparent reason, maybe you weren't returning his affections well enough?

You stopped dead in your tracks, Josuke stopped as well, his attention was brought back to you.

“ Is everything ok? “ he asked.

You frowned “  Why would you say something like that? “ 

His brows furrowed as he looked at you with confusion “ Say what? “

“ That you don’t emphasize your love enough, do you really believe that? “ you looked up at him with sad eyes, you suddenly reached for his hand.

He gripped your small hand in his larger one as he scratched his neck “ I just worry sometimes y’know? that maybe i’m not a good boyfriend to you. Or that one day I might not be able to protect you, It’s been worrying me lately after everything that happened with Kira. “ he mumbled, almost ashamed.

You grabbed his face and pulled it down to his height, connecting your lips with his own, it was a sweet kiss and when your body begged for air you let go.

“ Do you really think that? “ you said softly “ You are the best thing that’s happened to me in my sixteen years alive, how could you ever say you are a bad boyfriend? “

He gaped slightly, his own cheeks were dusted the same rosy color as your own, his blue eyes darted from your own (e/c) orbs to your lips, then to your eyes again.

“ Plus, I can protect myself, I do have a stand you know? “ you said in a lighter tone “ I appreciate you worrying about me, but I know how to throw a punch when needed “ you looked at him smugly.

Josuke chuckled “ I know babe, that makes me feel a lot better “ he smiled at you as he intertwined your hand with his once again.

“ C’mon I want to get there before nightfall “ he said, the light in his eyes returned as he smiled.

And now another clue, I would ask If you could help me out It's hard to understand 'Cause when you're really by yourself It's hard to find someone to hold your hand

It was almost dark when you arrived, the navy blue sky was contrasted with the last streaks of the golden sunset. He had taken you to the outskirts of Morioh, and as you climbed a large cliff you gaped at what awaited for you at the top. 

It was a perfect view of the whole town, the cliff went high enough that you could see the other end of the glittering ocean of light, coming from streetlamps or houses.

You turned to Josuke to catch him watching you with a smile.

“ Pretty neat, huh? “ he grinned as he took a seat on the grass, patting the side next to him. You complied and sat down, curling yourself against him and wrapping your arms around his broad shoulders.

And now it's gonna be, tough on me But I will wait forever I need someone now to look into my eyes and tell me Girl you know you gotta watch your health 

You stayed like that for a while, just cuddled together watching the panorama in front of you. After what felt like an eternity, Josuke turned to you, lifting you up into his lap.

This action caused you to blush as you turned around to face him. Your lips were inches away and your arms wrapped around his neck as his own crawled around your waist.

He was the first to initiate the kiss, starting out soft and gentle, as you responded however he began to be a little rougher, lightly nibbling on your lower lip and sucking from time to time causing you to moan his name.

He groaned as he slipped his tongue into your mouth, slightly tilting your head to deepen the kiss.

You rolled on the grass as you continued to make out, only separating to get air. Josuke hummed lightly as you felt him smile. You gave him one last peck on the lips before pulling away.

He was pining you to the grass, legs a tangled mess, both of you were panting but smiling. He helped you up and you curled back into his chest, a protective arm around you as he cupped your cheek.

“ I love you, (Y/N) “ he paused caressing your face with his thumb. 

“ I love you too, Josuke, more than you could ever know “ you breathed, melting at his touch.

And there you stayed, entranced with each other’s eyes under the starry sky of Morioh, it was almost as if time froze around those hues of azure and baby blue.
