I've been getting a lot of questions lately from women all over the world. Maybe they read top fashion magazines like "W" or "Vogue" or are thinking about updating their wardrobe and wondering what the difference is between these design categories.

Couture collections are collections that are presented to upscale customers who either go directly to the fashion house to try on the clothes or order them from the designer's "lookbook" and receive samples based on measurements taken by the designer at previous fittings.

If you read the secular publications and look at who wears what, you'll find that it's often the society beauties who say they can afford to buy couture. The headline might read "Unknown in Versace, Susan Smith in Donna Karan and Tiffany Jones in Givenchy couture". Translated?
