Sometimes I think I’m fine, and then I remember just how genuinely terrifying Lucilius is to the point where the literal rest of the Astrals kept Cosmos’s existence quiet from him even though lbr he likely intuitively had some degree of awareness regarding her considering just how much he was able to intuitively and accurately theorize/guess regarding the literal fabrics of creation???

She couldn’t hide the reason she was there. Cage door wide open, Malluel’s hand was resting upon a bird’s head. There’s a shudder that runs through half of the Archangel twins. Maybe – maybe sneaking in while Lucilius was out wasn’t the smartest idea. She did her best to remain calm, however, it was clear worry danced on her face. 

“… I’m sorry for the intrusion.”

Moving her hand out of the cage, the angel bows to her waist. 

Please don’t tell us to stop.

Feeling Malluel’s hand halt in its ministrations; The cage’s inhabitant melodically chirps in confusion before her eyes lock onto her owner who looks as irate as ever.

Holding his arm out, the small dawn-colored bird flits out of her cage obediently in a flutter of colorful plumage. Within just a moment, she closed the distance and perched upon his forearm, stretching her wings once before settling there. Icy blue eyes the color of a winter sky flicker quietly towards the little embodiment of dawn nestled up for a beat, before they return to the Angel of Instruction.

“--I’ll discipline that snake later. Permission is required to enter my office; No more skulking about like a thief.”

tfw you think about the fact that Cilius is one of THE most terrifying villains because as long as he is not dead: You can absolutely rest assured that he will not stop trying to execute all 1000+ plans he has devised to end all of creation, and that no, we weren’t even able to kill him

We had to have one of the strongest beings in the game (who Cilius had reduced to a a puddle and few scraps of cloth not long before, mind you) throw him into a pocket dimension that only opens one way, and we have just been informed that a.) Cilius is now essentially a god, b.) he can literally warp reality, and c.) He’s on the verge of breaking back out as of Versus
