“Do you think he’s dead?” One male voice asked. He walked around Hongjoong’s body tied to a singular chair in an empty room.

“I gave him the recommended dose,” another voice snapped back. “I can’t help if he is smaller than normal.” He cautiously nudged the unconscious man with his foot. “Maybe if we untie his hands he can get this kid to shut up.”

Hongjoong groaned. His head hurt and body was stiff. He squeezed his eyes shut at the sound of a crying baby. He tried to turn over and ask Seonghwa to handle the crying when his arm jerked, restrained by something. He pulled again but still nothing.

“Don’t be stupid. You untie his hands and the first thing he’ll do is strangle you with them,” Hanjae growled.

Hongjoong opened his eyes to a dark and dirty room. The dark haze clouding his mind slowly lifted and cold swept through him. He watched his former friend walk and sway his crying baby girl. “Put her down, asshole,” Hongjoong grumbled. It felt like he hadn’t used his voice in years.

“I didn’t think you’d wake up this time,” Hanjae gave him a sickening sweet smile. “Don’t worry about her. She’s fine.” He laid a surprisingly gentle hand on Aera’s forehead. “You’ll be happy to know her fever broke. I think she’s just hungry.” The way he cooed at the fussing girl only made Hongjoong more angry. “You really should take better care of her. She’s so tiny and fragile. Aren’t you angel?”

Even in his exhausted state Hongjoong surged forward, his chair rocking side to side. Once. Twice. Then in a blink he toppled to the floor with a loud thud. “When I get my hands on you I promise I’ll savor every second it takes for the light to fade from your eyes.”

Hanjae only nodded to the other man in the room. He moved closer knowing Hongjoong couldn’t reach him. “Tell daddy goodnight, angel,” he said as if it was the most normal thing.

Hongjoong fought the hand pressing his head to the floor, extending and exposing his neck. His eyes grew heavy after feeling a small pinch on his neck. His vision blurred and faded around the edges.

“Maybe next time we can be more civilized,” Hanjae said before delivering a kick to the body lying on the ground. “Your daddy has such a temper. We’re going to fix that.”

“You’ve got to be kidding me,” Changkyun laughed as he took a seat across the desk. “How are those two going to help anything? They’re just going to make it worse.”

Jaebeom leaned on his elbows and sighed. The exhaustion from his missing friends was etched in his face. “What else can I do?” he asked softly. “Hongjoong is missing, Taeyong is gone, who knows where Jungkook and that leaves me with Hanse… Do fucking Hanse.”

Changkyun leaned back and crossed his arms. He opened his mouth to argue bringing some of their most chaotic friends to help but was quickly cut off.

“Don’t argue with me, alright. I don’t need this today,” the older man rubbed his face. “Go and make sure things are ready when San and Wooyoung get here. I’m meeting with Mark and he’s already waiting.”

🍷: I never understood why humans liked to make such a big deal about their birthdays they just are celebrating another year closer to death. I never enjoyed my birthday. *shrugs with a little smile* But it’s hard to not enjoy it when you have people that make it worth it. Today has been very nice, I always ask to not make too big of a deal of it. I went to the gym, did some driving around and Herm insisted of getting me something. Now Ace convinced me to join him in making a little dinner for us to celebrate. I’m lucky to have such sweet people in my life. Hello. First I’d like to introduce myself to everyone because I’ve never done that. I was semi active in the kpoprp scene for a little while and left for a while. My previous bot suffered a significant loss and I wasn’t in a great place when the tragedy hit. I’m sorry I left suddenly and without word to anyone.

I went to a ranch and tried horseback riding. You can’t tell me that this is not giving rich European girly leisure activity~ Getting on TJ, the lovely horse I got to ride, was kinda scary ngl!! In the back of my head, I kept thinking about the possibility of being yeeted off him 😭 Thankfully, he was an angel and I got to feed him some snackies after!! Anyone want me to ride them next? 🤪🤪
