Fandom Firsts and Currents

First Fandom: Akazukin Cha Cha - it was an English dubbed Japanese anime I watched as a kid. First Fanfic Read: That was way too long ago. If it wasn’t something Harry Potter online, it was a Lord of the Rings story a friend of mine wrote. First Slash OTP: Don’t really read slash. The only ones I’ve read are Draco/Harry. First Femslash OTP: Same as above, except I can’t actually remember reading any femslash. First Het OTP: Draco/Hermione. Ha! First OT3: If it weren’t for @redrackham87‘s answer I wouldn’t know what this is, so safe to say, never read it ;)

Current Main Fandom: Harry Potter Other Fandoms: The above is pretty much my only fandom. I once played around with writing something for the Net Force Explorers, but that didn’t get very far. What can I say, I’m a one fandom kinda gal ;) Last Fanfic Read: Once Upon A Full Moon by lokilette, which was for a review game on ff.net. Slash OTP: N/A Femslash OTP: N/A Het OTP: Fred/Angelina <3 OT3: N/A

How did you find fanfic/fandoms online? I actually can’t remember. We’re talking more than 10 years ago, and my memory is atrocious on a normal day anyway. I must have Googled “fanfiction” and come up with fanfiction.net.

When did you first start reading fanfic? Maybe around 2003, as that’s when I created my first ff.net account. I’d already been writing fanfic for several years before that, since I was 10 or 11, though.

If you write fanfic, when did you start, in what fandom, and what pairing? Akazukin Cha Cha, and basically it was the characters coming to class with me and interacting with myself and my friends. Whaat, I said I was young! What I like to think of as my proper fanfiction, though, was Harry Potter, maybe 2003 as that was when I posted in on ff.net. Draco/Hermione.

Do you have a favorite fanfic? Not really. I mean, I have fanfic I like, obviously, but I don’t think I can pick just one.

Do You Beta? I used to, but not anymore. I’m just getting back into fanfiction after 3/4 years not writing or reading, and probably won’t have time in the near future for any long term beta-ing.

Do You Have a Beta? Not at the moment. I’ve had several over the years, who were all awesome! I’ll probably need one once I finish my current WIP, which, progress, veerryy slow.

When you see two people arguing in a group chat and, sure, Person A was way too defensive and sensitive about the mention of a certain topic, but Person A is also socially awkward in a has-a-mental-issue sort of way, so you would think Person B would take this into account in their interactions with A, but noooo, instead Person B decides to belittle and ridicule and just be plain mean to A.

And half an hour passes and no one says anything, so you decide to speak up.

Because, come on people. This is not an acceptable way to behave and by that point I needed to say something.

Hi?

I don’t really understand Tumblr. I think you’re supposed to reblog lots of things. I probably won’t. This is just an outlet for me to ramble about my writings. Or random things I don’t want going on my personal blog.

For instance: Had my first exam in three years today. I normally stress a lot over exams, but because it is for a language course and doesn’t count towards anything, I’m… not. It is a novel feeling.

Now attempting to study when all I really want to do is get back to working on my Draco fic…!
