Hello friends, We have been contemplating and considering a way to make not only a stand of solidarity, but also one of action. A plan that we had did not come within the timeframe we were hoping it would to show our support for the current movement, so we hope this post will suffice for the time being. Since the beginning of this band, one of the main themes has always been to recognize that we never know what someone is dealing with inside, and it’s important that we make it known that hope is possible. There is a hope that has been long fought since the birth of this nation. A hope to see those who have been once considered property, to being recognized with the same humanity as any other person on this planet, through social, political, systemic, and economic reform. And while there has been much reform already, there is much more that needs to happen. What we are currently experiencing is the next phase of progression in racial equality. Destroying the systemic chains that keep our friends and family in bondage for nothing more than power. As little of a platform we may have, we stand tall in our convictions and proclaim that BLACK LIVES MATTER. We have never been silent about our defiance against white supremacy and that includes the systemic racism that exists today within our justice system.
