Photo / Video (B&W, Panoramic, gif, pinhole, edited/raw, timelapse etc)

Each day choose a prompt, choose a medium, create something and post to the blog. Be as literal or abstract as you'd like.

You'll get reminders throughout the week! Weekends are for you to catch up.

NEW RIGHT BRAIN A DAY FORMAT:

What will remain the same: create from a prompt using different mediums and post to the outcome to the blog. What will change: (1) the prompt will be a week long, one overarching theme, with more specific daily prompts. (2) Instead of 7 daily prompts you will be given 5, and have the weekend to riff off the other prompts, catch up, or have some days off. (3) The mediums are narrowed down to three categories with one optional category. You can choose what to use each day as long as you use each medium throughout the week. Mediums: Creative Writing, Drawing/Painting, Photography/Videography, [optional medium here--- if you want to create music, sculpture, etc -- anything outside the other 3] --- all prompts, for the week, will be emailed on Monday. Reminder emails will be additionally sent--

Guilty Pleasure: Action Movies

My average lifestyle is fine by me:

Weekdays spent with numbers,

Weekends cleaning house.

I don’t need a lot of action, you see

Living vicariously,

Watching someone else.

In the comfort of my desk chair

I sit reliving

"Yippee Ki Yay motherf***er”

Brushing my teeth, washing hair

Reciting one-liners like

“Welcome to Earth,” I am a sucker,

For the comebacks, witty banter.

No netflix recs for

Romance, comedy, or drama

Show me something of grandeur.

I need explosions

Kidnapping, terror

Eastwood, Lee, Van Damme,

With families to fight for

Countries to save,

Neeson, Li, Ford, Chan,

Men on a mission

Each step closer to their grave.

Maybe I shouldn’t yearn for

Willis or Schwarzenegger

Oozing testosterone

But being ‘cultured' is a bore

High brow films don’t have

Norris, Cage, or Stalone.

Don’t judge my love for Action Movies

It’s more than cathartic

I refuse to watch in shame.

I get off on simulated bombs and uzis

And if you don’t like it

“Get off my plane.”
