i hope this post ages well but the holy rolan empire is actually one of the calmest and chillest sections of the bg3 fandom i think?? when i look at discussions about rolan's characterization, none of it escalates into outright bullying or harrassment— everyone's cool with any theory or hc'd version of this tiefling wizard, or at the very least respectful about it. it could be because this is a niche fandom and if more people on the internet were interested, it would feel more like trench warfare to be in these parts. whatever the case, i feel alright here.
