Since Nikola's family (except for Dane sadly) was still around when he first met Helen, I wonder if in the show-verse he ever took her to meet them? I feel like his mother and sisters would've loved her and then cue his mother yelling at him in "private" like "YOU'D BETTER ASK THAT NICE ENGLISH LADY TO MARRY YOU NIKOLA YOU'RE NOT GOING TO FIND ANYONE BETTER THAN HER" and she's right

It's a pity that Nikola never really got to spend time with Ashley because I feel like they would've been the most chaotic stepdad/stepdaughter duo. Tbh something about her personality screams more Nikola than John which is fascinating to me because where did she get it from? Like she and Helen are both sassy but her brand of sass is closer to Nikola's despite never having grown up with him, unless they lied about him not seeing Helen for 60 years and he was secretly the weird uncle who popped in occasionally? She's the exact kind of snarky he'd vibe with, to the point of driving Helen crazy, and if canon hadn't established that she was definitely John's biological kid I would have A LOT of questions

Nikola fanned his fingers and grinned. “Naturally. And, unlike certain members of this conversation, I listen.”

“Since when?” Will asked incredulously.

“Since always.”

“Tesla, Magnus told you to leave the weather machine alone,” he replied, throwing down his pen. “It's snowing now! Please, butt out of my relationships.”

hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???

i am yelling this at myself right now i am going through An Experience (trying to get into a routine of body maintenance again for my physical and mental health)

My respect goes out to everyone who writes fanfiction. Whether you're crafting epic sagas, filling in missing moments, or just having fun with an AU, it takes so much creativity and dedication to bring those ideas to life.

Writing isn’t easy—finding the right words, keeping the momentum, and sometimes just convincing yourself to start can be a challenge. And yet, fanfic writers do it anyway, pouring love into their stories, expanding worlds, and giving us all something to obsess over.

I’ve even tried writing myself, and let me tell you—it’s hard. I don’t know if I can keep it going, and now I completely understand why there are so many unfinished fics out there. It takes so much effort to see a story through to the end, and honestly? That makes me respect fic writers even more.

So if you write fanfiction—whether you share it or keep it to yourself—just know that it’s appreciated. You’re amazing. Keep writing.
