💮 UPDATES & FAQ 💮

As some of you had questions about the zine we´re going to explain a few little things.

❀ What is the theme “What would happen if” about?

We want the works to be based, to the liking of each one, on free assumptions if any of the events of MDZS had been different or the characters had made different decisions.

A couple of examples, what would have happened if Wei Wuxian hadn't come back to life or what would happen if Meng Yao had his way. We are looking for are imaginative alternatives that offer a narrative of the story with that different point.

Character personalities and relationships can be altered or affected by this change.

❀ Are the applications open for everyone?

It´s open to everyone without distinction, as long as they are of legal age (+18) ❀ How many contributors will be accepted?

The numbers are not final! Initially we would like to have a minimum of 20 artists, 20 writers and 10 cosplayers.

These numbers may vary depending on the requests that are received. ❀ Will the participants receive any kind of compensation?

All zine participants will receive a free copy of the zine and shipping will be free for them. If all goes well and we meet our sales target, we will upgrade to a full package (to include the zine and all merchandise). ❀ What are the specifications of the zine? Is it a physical or digital fanzine?

The zine will be available in PDF (digital) and in physical format. The physical format will be layout in A4 size of 30 to 40 pages. (This number may vary depending on the number of participants)

As for merchandising, the amount of them will be updated according to the money that is reached in the preorders. ❀ Will the zine be for profit or charity?

The proceeds will go to artists, writers, cosplayers and moderators, as a reward for their hard work and dedication in this zine that we hope will be greatly enjoyed. ❀ ll pairings be allowed in the zine? Can I include ships in my work that are not Canon?

Yes, any type of ship is allowed but there are certain limitations. (No relationship with the lolicon and shotacon will be allowed, that is, ships cannot be made between a minor and an adult. The ships must be according to the ages of the characters.) ❀ Will NSFW jobs be allowed? And gore / blood?

Slightly NSFW jobs can be done, this means that nothing explicit can be done that shows genitalia of any kind. Work can also be carried out with certain blood implications, but excessive things such as dismemberment, viscera, etc. will not be allowed.

We want the Zine to be suitable for all ages as much as possible. ❀ Are Alternative Universe (AU) crossovers and content allowed?

Crossovers and AUs are not allowed. The theme of the zine is already, n alternative history. However, the narrative of your story may take place in a different time than the novel, but it must be linked in a linear way to the main story.

LanZhan 50, 1000 or 2000 years in the future due to it´s longevity would be allowed, but taking it to the Harry Potter universe, no.

❀ Is ANGST allowed?

Of course, we don't want to stop everyone's imagination, they just have to be careful about using gory / gory shades, as specified above. ❀ Do participants have to join the Discord server?

Yes. All important announcements will be made through Discord, and we will also be able to keep up to date with changes. We will also be available on the mail, instagram, twitter and Tumblr but the Discord server will be essential for communication between us.

❀ I don't see anywhere the artistic medium that I would like to use. How can I make sure it's allowed in the zine?

We want to have enough space for creative expression for our participants, so if you have any questions or suggestions, please contact us.
