In these testing times will we find ourselves in or blind ourselves to the terribleness around us?
who are those who surround us? do we choose to stand up or ignore what's easier, what’s harder to endure? cause pretending it’s not there doesn't make it not exist Fight for the unborn but fuck Syrian kids? Women’s rights, black and whites whose lives really matter? Mine, yours or ours?
We forget the next day, who can blame us? Its hard to keep up with the shameless news, the nameless faces in not to distant places. That could be me or you. But it wasn’t…
So we say “what a shame and go on. From day to day.
Nothing's changed. If you don't first recognize that, Take a moment and say “What if that WAS me?” “My dad, my niece, MY family”
Years later you’re still not the same. It’s not: “oh, remember that day…” Its: “That’s when everything changed.” There’s no going back after that. What are you waiting for? Of course that’s not a group you’d like to join.
Have an ounce of empathy, say “that is me. My mom. My sister. MY family who was just run over, shot or blown to bits. And Now I get it? Now I'm pissed?”
Fuck the thought that these are crazies. They are just fed up like you. Just trying to fit in. We can't go on being numb… What do we do?
The only race is HUMAN. And separate we cannot be fine
Come together, feel for each other
in these testing times.

Nature speaks to me, the way streets can’t. Not sure if it’s the life that pulsates from inside or just the brightness of colors, the unexpected beauty, and the moments in time that will never happen again, because like humans, nature also changes, moves, rots, dies and eventually is replaced by something else.
