IN MY DEFENSE, drawing this crack ship au makes for a really good reward type deal after working on other things. Because there really is no real gain from drawing this except my enjoyment (and the enjoyment of a few other people, just enough to add some motivation >:))

Some notes on my interpretation of the mindy pines au (I think I was originally gonna write these bullet points next to the first drawing but I kinda forgot):

Middle aged ford halfway through his years in the multiverse!

Long hair!

Ugly tan lines!

Scruffy facial hair! (the vibe here is closest he will ever be to his original "the dude" design)

Neptune gave him the ability to breathe underwater (gills?)

Fanny pack is just full of rolled up socks to prevent mindys tail from hitting him in the groin (he has been fish slapped by her SO many times)

I was originally gonna color that last one but I was like naah, my time is better spent doing other things. But that's a height/size comparison of neptune and ford. Also how my neptune design is looking right now. It's a combination of movie + show neptune, leaning more towards movie with his face, since that's mindys only appearance... and I like the movie. If i keep drawing him I'll probably tweak his appearance to suit my mood.

category 10 Ghost Stan who is murdered by Rico and folks who work for him just a little while after chewing his way out of the trunk of that car. body is hidden in the floorboards of an abandoned house and never found, so the only reason anyone has to believe that something happened to him is that he stopped his monthly calls to his mom, but even then she ends up assuming he decided to move on from his family. (

At some point Ford is notified of an extremely haunted house in some other state and decides to go down there (maybe with fiddleford) to see if he can study and hopefully exorcise the spirit.

It an incredibly unpleasant surprise when the mangled form of his twin brother, the face that used to be almost the same as his now ripped and rotting with lifeless, sunken in eyes that used to always have that glint of mischief in them, but now all they had was pure, raw anger.

idk where to go from here with this but man this idea has been refusing to leave my head

In a better world, Stanley takes the journal... and lives? 😱😱 . . . Had this idea living in my head for a while now of a variant of the Better World AU where Stan gets a boat and DOES sail somewhere but its just to some small desolate port town that totally doesnt have secrets and anomalies living in it

Stan tries to restart his life but its just not the same. Whats he supposed to do with the money hes earned if its not to make it up to his twin?

Stuff happens, he rizzes up some God of the Sea sleeping in town (thats totally not Cthulu or anything) and in a fucked up way of trying to make Stan happy, wipes out all the memories that causes him to be sad (which was... Most of it?? All of it???)

and now Stans seemingly living the perfect life with a supportive community who gives him purpose and love and nothing is wrong with it at all And wow, some outsiders are visiting town and they're pretty cool af. That one with the six fingers is my new best bro now :D

If Ford gets to have all his cool sciencey shit and got to date the illuminati then who says Stan cant get to have his own 'better world' and have a codependent relationship with Cthulu?
