PLACE YA BETS (29th November)

James’ betting tips for this weekend’s action.
Bad Blood on Boxnation in the UK and ESPN in the US
I've chosen the 4 main fights on the card. These fights really are 50/50 so if I'm right you'll get a good return on your money!
Tyson Fury v Derek Chisora - Tyson Fury (any method)
Billy Joe Saunders- Chris Eubank Jnr- Billy Joe (any method)
Frankie Gavin v Bradley Skeete- Frankie Gavin on points
Liam Walsh v Gary Sykes- Walsh on points
If you're feeling lucky go for the correct method of win but if you bet with your head I'd suggest going for the winner by 'any method'

Bad Blood on Boxnation (29th November)
Bad Blood is nearly here and it's safe to say that we can't wait! What a massive card!
The one is an all British affair and one which is destined not to disappoint.
Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora go head to head 3 years since they last stepped into the ring together. With a shot at Wladimir Klitschko for the WBO Heavyweight title looming for the winner, it's safe to say that both will put their all into this match up.
Chris Eubank Jnr takes on Billy Joe Saunders for his British, Commonwealth and European titles. Billy Joe Saunders had already secured a shot at the WBO middleweight title but turned it down to take on his bitter rival. The pair have had roughly the same number of fights (18 and 20 respectively) and are both unbeaten. As they say, 'someone's 0 has got to go'
Other fights on the card include:
Frankie Gavin v Bradley Skeete (British Welterweight title)
Frank Buglioni v Andrew Robinson (WBO European Super Middleweight)
Liam Walsh v Gary Sykes (British and Commonwealth Super Featherweight)
Lewis Pettitt v Santiago Allione (WBA Intercontinental Super Bantamweight)
Mitchell Smith v Zoltan Kovacs (WBO European Super Featherweight)
Georgie Kean
Steve Collins Jnr
Romeo Romaeo
Hughie Fury
After last weekend's card on Sky didn't live up to expectations we wait eagerly for this one and look forward to it doing so.

Eddie Chambers

Chambers recently made the decision to move to the UK and become part of Team Fury. He was in a bad place, out of shape and considering hanging up the gloves when Peter Fury (Tyson Fury's uncle and trainer) decided he would take him under his wing.
Since Eddie has arrived in the UK he has had 3 contests against limited opposition and has done what is expected of him. Peter Fury has helped Chambers develop more muscle mass and adapted his previously lazy style of fighting to enable him to be able to throw more punches.
Eddie is out again on a Hennessy Sports bill this November 8th.
Chambers appears to have all the skills to enable him to operate at the highest level but whether he is able to get the fights he needs under Mick Hennessy has yet to be proven
In a recent interview with IFLTV's Kugan Cassius (link attached via picture) , when asked whether he could beat British gold medallist Anthony Joshua, Eddie replied saying ''I'LL KICK ANTHONY JOSHUA'S BUTT IF THEY WANT ME TO!'. However it is unlikely that the Matchroom star would be willing to fight Eddie Chambers at this stage of his career. Anthony Joshua's is still a novice having only had 9 fights, albeit all won by KO.
It remains to be seen whether American heavyweight contender Eddie Chambers has what it takes to make it to the top.

Kovalev v Hopkins

Well here we are! There's just one week to go until the highly anticipated match up between Bernard 'Alien' Hopkins and Sergey 'Crusher' Kovalev. With the WBA, IBF and WBO Light Heavyweight belts on the line!
Hopkins at the age of 49 will again attempt to defy all logic and step in the ring against the much younger renowned puncher, Kovalev from Russia. Kovalev, who is one of the most hard hitting punchers in the sport will be looking to land one of his bombs against the much older man and send a message to the rest of the division.
Hopkins has already been the undisputed middleweight champion of the world back in 2004 when he beat the famous Oscar De La Hoya to gain the WBA, WBO, IBF and WBC belts. He aims to beat Kovalev and leave himself only needing one more fight in order to become the first man in history to be the undisputed champion of two weight divisions in his career.
Kovalev, who believes he has too much in his arsenal for the older man, would also be in a position where he will only have one fight to unify the division.
Whoever the winner may be it remains to be seen whether they will have what it takes to beat Adonis Stevenson to unify the division.

Price set for new beginning this weekend!

This Saturday night (25th January) Liverpool heavyweight David Price makes his return to the ring. As final preparations are under way, things can only get better for the 6ft8 banger surely? Price faces Kazakhstan’s Konstantin Airich over eight rounds in Germany as he looks to rebuild his faltering career following two consecutive losses to American Tony Thompson.
Pricey has made a few changes since his last fight, including signing with Sauerland Promotions, leaving long time trainer Franny Smith before spending a brief spell with Adam Booth (trainer of former world heavyweight champ David Haye) and then finally choosing American Tommy Brooks as his trainer. Brooks boasts an impressive career having been in the corner of both Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield. Price goes into this fight having vacated his British and Commonwealth titles in an attempt to relieve the pressure which he so clearly could not get to grips with in his last fight. In doing so he's avoid facing in form Dereck Chisora whose promoter Frank Warren won the purse bid for their showdown. It still remains that there is huge excitement and anticipation leading up to Saturday as we all look forward to finding out if the Liverpudlian prospect has what it takes to mix it at the top.
The bout will be available on Box nation this Saturday night in the UK (Sky Channel 437)
