I keep going all over the place with my cat and dog theriotypes but I think I can finally say that they are their own thing that just happen to almost always happen at the same time. There are a few occasions where it’s just dog but it’s always both when cat too.

Alterhuman Survey

I have finally completed it! Please reblog and share this elsewhere, I am trying to get as wide of a dataset as possible.

It will most likely take most of you less than ten minutes to answer these questions and could put together such a big picture of our wonderful community together. Knowledge is power after all and I know if I (at thirteen) had known about the demographics of this community back then I wouldn’t have felt so isolated and alone in my identity.

I may over the next couple of months do some more follow up work on this survey before publishing the results. Potentially try to interview some folk and gain some more in depth insights. I think it’s long overdue that someone took on a project of this scare within the alterhuman community.

Sometimes I’ll see little birds hopping about, pecking the ground, seemingly playing with other birds, doing cute little bird things…

And I yearn…

I yearn for that experience, that life and freedom they seem to have.

Of course, they worry about being prey and facing dangers, but at the moment, they are happy

Having a kintype that has no name to it so I’ve had to create something as a placeholder for is so silly :p

Like yes I’m roaming in nature away from humans.

No I don’t know where I’m going.

Yes I will help lost children find their way to safety.

Of course I’ll protect the life residing in nature.

Yet still feed on the beasts that roam here when my body requires it.

There’s so much about my kintype I don’t fully know about yet, but I’m happy to learn about it with time.

Also I think it’s funny how i don’t know how to do any transportation on wheels like driving, biking, or skating. I’m just too animal to do that :3

I’ve been wanting to make a rentry or straw page but then I struggle to decide whether or not to make it full detailed or simple stuff.

Simple would be name / prns / orientation and gender / age

Full would be simple + more personal things like likes and dislikes / sharing that I’m a furry and a therian / and that sort of thing.

The thing is: I have accounts for different communities.

I have my personal “human” acct where my irl friends follow me.

I want to make an art account too but without revealing my identity to my followers

I have this Tumblr blog for nonhuman experiences bc I’m not out to my friends about it. I fear they wouldn’t understand it as much as gender identity or orientation (and truth be when I was first exploring those things, I kept changing it bc after a while they didn’t feel like me and I feel they’ll get tired of me coming out all the time, which is bad bc they’ve been so supportive)

I feel since they’ve known me for so long as a human and as a afab person that even if they say they accept me , in their eyes I’ll always be what they were used to.

Also the art and therian acts clash too bc I want to make art of ocs and characters I like but also of my theriotypes, don’t know whether to merge those two or keep them separate?

What should I do about the rentry/straw page? Make one big one or one for each thing? Any help is appreciated!! :D

Something to say to the "if you look human, you are human" argument.

You have two oranges. You cut up one of the oranges and find it has juice and flesh and all the things a typical orange would have. You cut up the other orange to find it is made of styrofoam. Is that second orange really an orange? Well, it looks like an orange, but you can't eat it and it doesn't have juice or flesh. So, it's safe to conclude that the second orange is not actually an orange, even if it looks like one.

See what I mean?

I feel like this could also apply to other things like gender, sexuality, etc. Also please let me know if my logic is flawed or if this is offensive in some way; that is not my intention at all.

I’m sure there are also websites that take your drawing and make a plushie out of it but I don’t remember any names. That’d be so cool. :3

It’s so nice being able to vocalize some monkey noises (idk what to call them). I’ve always been able to do it, and it did come in handy once in a theater class I took.

Our assignment was to choose an animal and act out its behavior and thoughts (I don’t really remember what the assignment was). I did my bit, and vocalized really loud. My classmates were definitely surprised, as I’ve always been a quiet student. It was fun.
