Day 6: Favourite Opposing Team

The Shadows!

The main reason I love the Shadows is because of their more personal kind of opposition to the Snow Kids- because of the presence of Sinedd on the team and Artegor being the Coach. It makes the Snow Kids’ matches against the Shadows more exciting than their matches against any other team. Plus, the fact that I like both of those characters also helps, I can’t help but root for them a little bit, despite the fact that the Snow Kids are the heroes. Not to mention the Shadows are just badass too- I love their little intimidating dance that they do before matches. The fact that they are so aggressive also helps to make the matches more tension filled. I also like that it is just the team that humans run away to- there’s the nice parallel to the way in which Artegor/Aarch did that and then Artegor convinces Sinedd to do the same thing- again, it means I can connect with the team in a more personal manner. I also love their Flux which connects with that but I’ll talk about it tomorrow!

TEAM - SHADOWS (truly, she's in SK :) but i love Shadows more) or PIRATES (ok, I love both <3). Rykers.

POSITION - SURROGATE or GOALKEEPER (this is good. tbh my OCs are like that lol). Forward.

TYPE OF CHAR - NERD (well, a little bit of truth lolol) or STRONG-WILLED (yes!!). Lazy (lol totally me).

BEST FRIEND - Sinedd (She tries to get along with Sinedd but they are not really best friends until they're together <3) or Kernor (I'll think about it...). Tia.

SPOUSE - Sinedd (yessss! if I understand this word correctly...) or Micro-Ice (lolol NO. I love M-Ice but he is childish for my ~23y.o. girl and he's a bit scared of her sooo... IT'S Stevens <3 (though Idk his age I hope it's somewhere around 22+). Warren.

PARAMOUR - D'Jok (why not... but Micro-Ice is more possible) or Luur (LOL tbh I already thought abt it). Luur (REALLY!?).

HAS A CRUSH ON YOU - Sinedd (oh my boy <3) or Yuki (:DD why not, they are goalkeepers both!). Sinedd.

WON’T PLAY WITH YOU - Thran (more possible it's Kernor) or Wowamboo. Tia.

Favourite Flux

The Smog

Runner up is the Breath because it looks so pretty when you edit caps with it in. But the Smog is my overall favourite because of the interesting results it produces: out of all the Fluxes this is the one that has the most clear effect on personality (at least when it comes to humans using it). I like that it affects all the humans who used it slightly differently whilst it being clear that it has the same core side-effects- Artegor is able to use it for roughly 20 years without any apparent physical effects but with clear psychological consequences in that it increases his paranoia and anger. On the other hand, Aarch uses it for a relatively short period of time and it makes him extremely sick to the point where he doesn’t feel he can use it any more. Whereas for Sinedd it seems to only slightly enhance his already aggressive personality and whilst his body initially seems to be negatively affected by it- but then he seems to adapt to it. This makes the whole drug metaphor with the Smog seem more realistic- as different people react to the same drug in different ways. Also, it looks awesome when the Shadows use it!

Day 8: Favourite On-field Opponent

Sinedd

Predictable I know, but what can I say, I love Sinedd (for the first 2 seasons anyways). I like that he has a negative past with most of the Snow Kids- making it more of a personal thing- he’s like Artegor 2.0 in that way (I also like that he’s kind of set up to be a foil to D'jok). Like Artegor he’s somewhat of a sympathetic ‘villain’ in that his past is implied to be pretty terrible- we know that he is an war orphan (I REFUSE TO ACCEPT SEASON 3 IS CANON) but unlike say, D'jok, he doesn’t appear to have been adopted or anything; you’re left to imagine what he went through instead. I also really liked that whilst he was quite aggressive and angry, he was still a teenager who really doesn’t know what he is doing (as evidenced by the way he gets tricked into helping the overall villain/s of the show not once but twice). It just seems like nothing ever works out for him, and even though some of that is his own fault, I can’t help but root for him a bit.

I found out about the third season in the end of Jan’2017 when I realised I want to rewatch GF. When I started to watch the first ep of it I was shocked a bit (y’know, Sinedd/Mei... Sinedd’s an awesome character and I love him (+ I felt jealousy LOL)). 

First of all - the animation and dialogues. This is a BIG FAIL. Really. For kids under ~10. Compared to 1 and 2 seasons... They were quite good. 

Second - yea, Sinedd/Mei. Why? Wtf? Grrr... It’s just very illogical. I hoped that it was just “relations for public” but no... Nope. Nope-nope-nope :( 

This pairing is the reason I will not watch the third season. It’s like never existed for me, I don’t want to realise that: “Sinedd’s personality was pretty much removed, everything that made him an interesting character was ignored“. I know that SK won another galactic cup (and I’m very dissapointed about that) WITH SINEDD IN THEIR TEAM. WTF??? WHERE ARE THE SHADOWS AND THEIR AWESOME SMOG??? (And Sinedd’s dark uniform fit him <3)

Though I still would love to know about its plot...

Least Favourite Couple (Canon)

Sinedd/Mei

I have so many complaints about this pairing, I don’t even know where to begin. First of all, it comes out of no-where…Season 2 ends with Mei happy in her relationship with D'jok…then all of a sudden she hates him and goes off with Sinedd, wtf? The only two interactions that Mei and Sinedd had previously had (to my recollection) were the time that he um…threatened her and then shoved her for daring to tackle him and take the ball (great basis for a relationship- whatever D'jok might have done, at least he never did THAT) and when D'jok and Sinedd were arguing and Mei was there too, Sinedd said ‘you and your girlfriend will be watching the final on Holo-Tv’ (or words to that effect). He didn’t even directly speak to her in that one. Like seriously, almost any other relationship on this show would have had more basis than this one- the whole, he acted violently toward her thing is never addressed either.

This wouldn’t have been so bad if we had actually gotten to see how they become a couple as well as actually getting the back story on the D'jok/Mei break-up (she gives reasons why she doesn’t want to date him anymore but it’s rather vague). So yeah, it comes out of no where and is never explained. I might even have been able to accept this if it had played out more interestingly- but nope, Sinedd’s personality was pretty much removed, everything that made him an interesting character was ignored (and don’t even get me started on the fake parents/real parents sub plot, that’s a different matter entirely) and all they did was have cutesy moments- no real moments of depth as a couple. The darkness attached to the Shadows also dissipated, with Mei having no ill-effects from joining the team- she got the Smog briefly but then because the tournament was multi-flux she used the Breath from then on. So what was the point? Their relationship could have been interesting: it could have been a little bit dark and about her being rebellious to begin with and then it could have developed into something more normal and 'cute’ over time as Sinedd worked through his issues.

But nope, just throw all characterisation out the window for a romance that wasn’t even set up. Season 3 was lazy and awful in general but this was one of the worst things about it, just dreadful. Rant over.

‘’Oikawa-’’ Kiss. ‘’-stop it-’’ Kiss. ‘’-already,-’’ Kiss. ‘’-you jerk!’’ And what did you get? Another kiss.

After miserably failing to push this needy lips, you tried kicking as slapping, but even these methods wouldn’t stop this monster.

‘’Why should I? It is not my fault we are standing under the mistletoe!~’’ He laughed, pecking both of your cheeks, before coming back to your abused mouth.

‘’Well, it’s not my fault you keep dragging this fucking tree everywhere we go! And put your tongue in my mouth again when we are in public and you will have to explain to Iwaizumi, why you can’t attend practice for the rest of your life!’’  You groaned, pulling his hair as hard as you possibly could, but his dingustinly sweet grin didn’t falter even a little bit. 

‘’One more kiss and I’m done, okay?’’ He asked innocently, tilting his head to the side. You only nodded in response, agreeing - happy at the thoughts of ending this torture.

Tooru blushed slightly, put his hands around your waist and connected your lips. The kiss was special and domestic in many ways. It felt different than any other, but also very similar. After five minutes, which seemed like forever, he finally moved away from your probably red face. You cheered in you mind, because now you will have a little more freedom.

But then he fucking pecked your lips again. ‘’Hey! You cheater!’’ ‘’I said, no kisses! However, we didn’t discuss pecks, smooches, butterfly kisses, etc. it’s going to be a long Christmas for you, my love!’’ He chuckled childishly, but you still felt an unpleasant shiver run down your spine. He may look like an angel and all, but deep inside he was a devious creature.

Kageyama Tobio

It was probably nothing new, but you and Tobio were arguing again. You didn’t even remember what was the whole thing about, but you were screaming anyway.

You didn’t even care that your loud conflict was placed in the gym in front of your teammates and senpais.

‘’Tanaka-senpai.’’ Whispered Hinata. ‘’Don’t you think we should stop them or something?’’ He asked completely dumbfounded.

‘’I don’t know, I’m not ready to die.’’ The bold male, replied with a frown.

‘’I think I have an idea.’’ Added Sugawara, who literally appeared out of nowhere.

‘’You know what Tobio, sometimes you are so freaking annoying that I don’t know why..-’’

‘’You don’t know why what?!’’ He interrupted harshly, not ready for your answer. His eyes shined furiously.

‘’Heey~ Look up guys!’’ Someone who you assumed was Sugawara-senpai sang, pointing at the Sawamura, who was standing next to you unnoticed until now.

‘’What?!’’ You and Kageyama yelled and looked up in unison. What you saw, caused the blush on your, now calm, faces. You immediately started regretting nasty words from earlier. Your bodies froze for a minute, before your eyes finally caught a proper contact and millions of overwhelming emotions made you throw yourselves at each other, into the long awaited kiss. You were too much in love to behave like that and this cheesy Christmas tradition was able to remind you of that

Kuroo Tetsurou

He wasn’t furious, he wasn’t even angry. He has just started feeling a little more desperate lately. You and he have been an official couple for two months now and despite his great adoration for you, not sharing a first kiss was absolutely stressing him out. He has tried to kiss your beautiful pinkish lips on several occasions, but none of his well-prepared ideas have worked so far. ‘’Maybe, you should try under the mistletoe.’’ Kenma stated calmly, not bothering to look up from his phone. ‘’Kenma, you are a genius.’’ ‘’Am I?’’ But the volleyball captain didn’t hear his friend’s words anymore, already involving all of his teammates in a new plan.

After fifteen minutes of talking, kicking, arguing at throwing bals at faces - all of yelled some motivation things and decided to do their best to make Kuroo happy…or quiet.

You were currently doing absolutely nothing when Yaku came out of nowhere looking determined for a reason you weren’t ready to know.

He patted your arm gently to gain your attention and asked you to go to the gym. Not wanting to disappoint him, you just did what he asked for.

Opening the gym door, you were welcomed by a swallowing darkness.

‘’Um, hello? Yaku told me to come here..’’

‘’Come closer!’’ Someone, whose voice you could recognise everywhere, whispere from somewhere in front of you.

‘’Tetsu what..’’

‘’Just come closer!’’

‘’Okay, okay. Geez…’’

You made more than five steps and suddenly the lights turned on, almost blinding you. ‘’Wh–What is THIS?’’ You exclaimed, shocked upon seeing the whole gym ceiling decorated with fresh branches of mistletoe. ‘’Surprise!’’ Kuroo’s hands sneaked around your shoulder. His mouth dangerously close to your ear, tickling it with every breath. ‘’Now you have to kiss me.’’ He whispered slowly, trying to be seductive and well, succeeding. Out of nowhere, realisation hit you harder than three first days of period. ‘’If you wanted to kiss me, you could have just asked.’’ Laughing you turned to face him.

‘’I know, but it was stressing me out–’’ You didn’t even let him finish and kissed him roughly. throwing him off guard.

He was talking to much anyway.

Idk why everyone is so uptight about the alcohol in ep 33. Like have y'all seen any teen movie ever? Do you only watch PG movies and children’s cartoons until you turn 21? Also Europe in general has a very different drinking culture, so a lot of this kind of reeks of ethnocentrism and ignoring other cultures and their habits.

Idk i feel like the fandom in general is just really pissy a lot of the time and I feel like if a game pissed me off that much I’d just stop playing and move on with my life.
